Well said K-Men when you get blown out by 6 it's the refs for sure!!

Maybe have your boys check the replays while you are sucking it.

Thanks Carol, good point about the refs, seems that they decided to punish the Flames for being the whiny, sniveling disrespectful crybabies. They got what they deserved, Canucks maybe, just maybe could have had two called.

I’m just relaying what was in the blog. I’m good with the loss if it helps the Canucks make the playoffs. That would really screw the tdd..

Leafs 10 goals JT nada points for my pool. 11m doesn’t go far these days.

Different time & circumstances. My top offer was only 10m. I was hotter for Panarin & Pietrangelo.

You guys don’t need that when you got all that other talent.

Big game tonight. Rags on a B2B, Oilers on a B2B, but Ducks and Sharks get Coyotes and Kracken. NEED the 2 pts to stay in it.

As much as I'd love to see them push and leapfrog teams to get into the playoffs, is it going to be worth it if they have a first round matchup with the Avs? That's just a team I do not want to encounter, and don't think the Canucks stack up well against them (though, not many teams do)

I don't think you are going to have to worry too much.
They haven't made the playoffs since they let Markstrom & Tanev walk.

Would be great experience for Petey and Huggy to see what it takes to be a great team. These are the guys who are going to lead this team for the next decade, it’s time they got a real taste of playoff hockey, with crowds and momentum and adversity and emotion etc.

I love how when there are a lot of penalties against the Canucks it’s a conspiracy to make them lose, but when they play a clean game the refs did their job.

Completely understand that side of it – even the push down the stretch to see how hard games are at that point.

However, much like the idea behind trading JTM, it's an interesting math equation/balance of what is "best" in the short term versus long term.

You’re such a stick in the mud. Cheer cheer cheer, winning is always better than losing, even if it costs you in the long run. Live for today, tomorrow never dies. Die another day, never say never again, you only live once.

Okay? This franchise has been the epitome of mediocrity for years, and I want them to win a Cup. I don't want them to continue to be a low end/middle of the pack team, hoping they'll get lucky and flood into the playoffs, maybe winning one day at a time and stuff.

I'm not cheering against them. I'm just questioning if it's best in the long run to squeak into the playoffs to face the Avs (as that's the more realistic outcome fro the wildcard). Maybe it is. Maybe it isn't.

A quick retool on the fly while staying competitive. A real one, not an 8 year cluster-fuck of epic proportions.

This has chickenpoop written all over it. What a terrible concept... don't want to make the playoffs because the Canucks would be overmatched...

The young core needs playoff experience and like most young teams, losing is part of the learning process.

Let me remind you that these young guys beat the highly favored cup defending champs in the play offs already... imagine if they gave up because of the perception that they couldn't win?

That has chickenpoop written all over it. The Blues were decimated by COVID and were barely recovered. Narratives.
