DJ's perfect game. Lose by one goal in a low scoring game. Play Stutzle with Tkachuk who have zero chemistry. Sticks Formenton on the fourth line.
This coach sucks a big one! |

Not a DJ fan...but he had to play 5 defenders and one of them wasn't Chasbot playing 38 minutes. |

I thought White had a solid first game back, scored our only goal. Listening to DJ's post game you can tell he doesn't like White as he had to criticize him over his system play...
The problem I have with DJ is we all can see he has favorites, but to be a professional coach you have to set that aside and play those that give you the best chance of winning... |

Amen. But why do all his favourites have to be the worst players on this team? The Almighty favours us by taking away Zaitsev, but then yangs the yin by also taking Chabot. White looked pretty good, considering he was stuck on the fourth line.
A meh game. Boring. Now that Toronto-Detroit matchup on the other hand.... |

It's absolutely insane with how DJ is with certain players on this team. Formenton vs. say Tierney who has been awful for months now. How is Sanford getting as much TOI as Stutzle? If the coach cant figure out the talent on this team, he truly shouldn't be here to coach the Sens beyond this season. This fanbase doesn't need DJ to try to figure things out to start next season, only to come of the gates like they have the past 2 seasons.

That's where DJ needs to trust others and stop rail roading them on the blueline. 3 of the past 5 games Brannstrom has led the blueline in TOI. But there were whispers yesterday prior to Chabot being sick that DJ was going to make Brannstrom a healthy scratch and dress Mete. This coach is so out of touch with his roster! |

I'm glad you mentioned the presser, he truly doesn't like White and you listen to the guys on the pre-game show talk about how much White is like in that locker room.....it makes you wonder where DJ's head is at. Lets not forget, DJ made White a healthy scratch last year for the first 4-5 game of the season. He was starting Paquette, Stepan and Animisov over White at center. Could you be more out of touch with your team than DJ?

It really was a "flat" game I found. That Wings game was unreal, watching that 3rd period. But if the Leafs play defensive hockey like that, they will get swept in the 1st round by FL or TB.
As for DJ, it's truly bizarre how players like Zaitsev are his favs. Disullional is a good word when you hear DJ tell us he's "elite"

I truly hope so but if I see "vets" getting the icetime over a prospect that can use the experience in the final month of the season to be better prepared for next season so they come out the gates hard and fast, I'll really wonder what the goal was with this organization when they said rebuild if they arent going to follow through on it properly! |

Only common sense can’t sit them and think to have teams wanting them have to showcase get something for them never know could be a hidden jewel in a late pick lol I’m ok with playing them … now after the trade deadline then yes I agree 💯 with you youngsters need to be playing … plus why isn’t Del Zotto not up here playing 🤷♂️🤦♂️ |

A few of us were talking about this last night with MDZ. He has been super good down in Belleville, so why not get him in a few games for teams to see him, they have nothing to lose at this point. Being in the AHL his stock is as low as it gets because it says you have given up on him as a team so why not get him in, instead of Mete. The problem is, common sense doesn't prevail in the coaching staff or management's world. It's more and more evident!
As for the next three weeks, I think teams know what JBrown, Tierney and Sanford are all about now because they never miss a game and none of them are about to get better overnight.

No honestly, I think sitting those vets will save the value from deteriorating anymore so teams don't see how awful Tierney and Brown truly are. Plus management and DJ have told the fans since mid-December that the youth movement is on, well then get the youth some valuable experience in the last month or two so that next season they hit the ground running, not stumbling out of the gate!

I was hoping to see Logan Brown back in the lineup for STL with more injuries, but again today, he is a healthy scratch! It looks more and more like Ottawa will have to give up that draft pick as part of the deal as he wont hit 30 games played this year, he needs another 12 games. |

To see Sanford getting the same amount of TOI as Stutzle is so ridiculous! Formenton benched on a few occasions and then nailed to the 4th line, for the most part, is absolutely what this coach is about, he has no clue how on how to navigate this young group.

I find lately that your coach, gets outcoached a lot. Marty St. Louis hasn't coached 10 games in the NHL and he owned DJ the other night and didn't even have last line change. He matched up his lines so well and DJ never made a single adjustment. There were times that Marty got the D pairings match ups against the Sens number one line when DJ stood there with last change and did nothing about it. Incredible.
I don't understand how your GM doesn't hold this coach accountable. I don't know how many times I have watched the Sens this season and thought to myself, if this team had a more experienced coach they would have at least 5 more wins in the win column. You need your coach to will the team to at least a handful of wins each season. Instead, he gives this team a few more losses than they should have. That is a huge problem at the pro level. Just like he seems to say he needs his goalies to give his team a chance to win. How about the coach makes better roster decisions, better line combos or defense pairings to give his team a chance to win? Nope, he doesn't. |

There are no Sens in the top 64 goal scorers in the NHL
Should we be worried? Will Stutzle, Batherson, Tkachuk, Norris all score 22-25g in the same year? |

That is quite a stat. As an outsider, I never would've thought that. I would think all 4 of those players hit 25G in a season if healthy. Tkachuk missed training camp and the first few games of the season too.
I just finished watching Bruce Boudreau in his postgame presser. As I'm capping the games for my puckpiz blog with Vancouver at NJ tonight. Even when things don't go well, this guy never throws a player under the bus. I really think the coach you guys have will not get this team to a playoff level. He criticizes his players to the media when he should be the one taken to task more often than not. |

Not much more to be said.
Coach is a weeny who is gonna stubbornly do it "his way" until the 1990's style fail catches up with him and he gets fired. But seriously. Out maneuvered by a guy who's coached no higher than pee-wee says it all. It validates all the fan complaints and criticism. It suggests that I....yes ME....could get behind that bench and play those lines better than him. I've been running the same 2 pairs of defense all year in my pee wee C house team. Chemistry, strengths, weaknesses, I identified early. Bam. I have competent defense.
And I have been bullish on Colin White. I'm not saying he'll ever live up to his contract, but I don't think he'll be far off. But instead of pumping his tires lets rip him again. And I'll call out bozo Simmer on the team. "oh I wasn't really watching him". Of course you weren't. But no doubt when he has a give away in his third or fourth game back on a very difficult road trip Simmer will be ALL OVER White and fire up the engines on the "Buy Out Colin White" train. |

Stutzle needs a legitimate RW to bring up his goals 🤷♂️
As for the other 3
Tkachuk on pace for 25 goal
Norris was on pace for 40 goals
Batherson was in pace for 30+ goals
I have no fear of these 4 players scoring goals lol 🤙 |
