Not sure if this is real but I saw a few reports claiming the same...

they're forming a new Legion of Doom... that's cool, it's a good sign that there can still be a healthy solidarity going on.
so I guess these vets are retired and don't officially represent the US? |

When was the last time Russia won a war? In WW2, they got corn holed by Germany and dropped out via Revolution in WW1.
Lost to illiterate guerrillas in Afghanistan, Lost to Finland in a side war during WW2, Lost to Japan in the 1890s, Lost the Crimean war of the 1850s... - mr.peanut
The Russians enabled the Allies to beat the Germans. THe German invasion to gain control of Russia's oil crippled them as they were decimated due to harsh resistance and an unbearable winter. It split the German forces and the allies didnt have to face the full brunt of the German War Machine. You have to give them credit for that |

in an ideal world they wouldn't have to be doing this, as you'd think that in 2022, invading countries and starting a war would no longer be a thing, but here we are. a glimmer of hope through this huge cluster(frank).

true but the russians were helped quite a bit from the lend lease act. without it i am not sure the russians would have been able to hold out until their own military production was fully online.

Yes. The German greed to keep advancing into the ussr was their undoing. Enslaving women and watching Soviet POWs eat each other started weakening their forces as the good guys caved them in on the western front |

They were also heavily supplied by the US. An entire supply line was built from the Persian Gulf to the North to Kursk |
