The agreements mean nothing since Putin broke the agreements by invading.... the nuke threat is what is stopping them, it's a slippery slope though, now he knows NATO will back off, not that they've actually ever done anything.... but now he's proven it and he won't stop - OB
i don't know what their agreements were that he broke. ukraine isn't a NATO member. i'm not sure what the other agreements were. |

There was a trilateral agreement in the 90s where Ukraine would give up their nukes and Russia would never invade them
Worked out |

When was the last time Russia won a war? In WW2, they got corn holed by Germany and dropped out via Revolution in WW1.
Lost to illiterate guerrillas in Afghanistan, Lost to Finland in a side war during WW2, Lost to Japan in the 1890s, Lost the Crimean war of the 1850s... |

They successfully invaded Crimea, I guess?

Not really a war tho. Kind of aided Russian separatists in the region. He'll, they've never been able to properly control those crazy people in the northern caucuses |

tbf, if putin didn't decide he wants that cold war feeling back and decide to attack to regain control there none of this is happening. despite what some geniuses will tell you, this was his call.
i get what you're saying about wanting a bigger response from all the other coutries around the world but it seems more complicated than everybody just getting their military ready and sending them over or people would have done it by now. i wish there could have been a bigger response too. i think we all do.

Another issue with his army is the way citizens are compelled to join. Like, the life of an average Russian probably sucks, so joining the army is the way out. And soldiers hate fighting in pointless vanity wars.
Kinda how the Russian Empire fell, but please Vladdy, try and re-establish that serfdom hell hole. |
