You’re going to need a bigger wallet to carry those around.

I'm not as high on Garland as you are. In this draft if someone gives up a mid 1st and a prospect or a 2nd. I would take it.

Someone else would have to go as well too. Wouldn't trade just one.

He really does generate a lot of scoring chances. He also pisses off the other teams. He does a lot as far as I am concerned.

I know you follow prospects but I bet that more than half the people in here couldn't name 5 of the 10 top prospects for next year without looking it up. On top of that I all out don't trust this rookie management.

I would do this draft and see the results first before I had a fire sale. This is a young team and the idea should be to keep your best players . Like you said earlier draft a good player this year, clear some cap space with Hamonic Dikie Poolman and make a smart UFA signing in the summer.

Reality check hit, now we KNOW that the hot streak was just that, a streak. Without Demko all our warts are visible defensively, so therefore it's time to admit that the playoffs aren't going to be a possibility and take the time to remake the team into a contender rather than a pretender bubble team that needs to luck in to the playoffs and go on a hot streak to go anywhere.

For those of you saying that selling Miller in the middle of a playoff hunt would piss off the players? Give me a break, hockey is a business and if they can't handle the fact that the team needs to make changes to get them to the next level then they themselves should be traded. This whole idea of, oh, we're so close to getting a playoff spots so we should keep everyone until the season's end is exactly why we're in this spot today. Clearly the defense isn't adequate and BADLY needs an upgrade along with several other spots on the forwards that need addressing along with the lack of cap space.

It's time to say, "We tried, we got close, but it's not to be so let's move on and get what assets we can right now when prices are high and get ready for next year and 2 years from now when we should be ready to make a real run."

The latest 3 blow out losses we had no jump or legs. That’s the big problem. It’s fixable & the main reason team D looks so bad.

Mid 1st isn’t that great. I don’t think this is a strong draft.

It also exposes the fact that without Demko playing out of his mind that we just aren't good enough. Forget about the blowout losses, it's the fact that unless we score first, we never win, that can't be fixed with the players we have.

I agree with whatever GM said that if you aren't contending, you should be selling and working to be that contender and not try and luck into getting into the dance.

There are too many holes on this team, I don't care about the players feelings if we sell some major parts to the team like Miller, Boeser or whoever IF it can bring us assets that will make us better in the long term. I'm willing to be patient, I'm tired of quick fixes and no thought to the long term success of the team. I want the team to be able to compete every year and NOT be a bubble team that always misses because they just aren't good enough and can't see the forest for the trees.

Yes all true but I like Miller to stick around. Boeser can go fir the right price. I like his scoring but he’s a slug & play killer imo.

Haven’t been there in decades but we will soon & it’ll be all inclusive so won’t need cash. CC for purchases.

Does that not contradict your last post where you say to sell now so in 2 years we’re ready to compete?

May as well stay home then. No real experience lounging around the pool in your banana hammock, with the same people for a week. Life’s short, get out and try something different.

Sorry, had to go to the chiropractor.

I'm not saying fire sale. I agree to keeping most of the team.

I just see some of the players that their roles in which they are best at are even on this team depth roles and which the team don't need another depth player in that role, we need players that fill a different role more but aid the others in their roles.

From Bob's list? I have no list this year.. yet if I make one.

A few players I could see in the say 15-25 area in this draft.

Pavel Mintukov, Cutter Gauthier, Jimmy Snuggerud, Kevin Korchinski, Brad Lambert, Liam Ohgren.

Michael Buchinger might turn into a first round pick by draft time.
