With an assist this morning, Simon Nemec has broken the all-time point record for U21 defenders in the Slovak top league.

The 17-year-old is up to 25 points in 35 games on the season.

He continues to be *very* good at hockey.

Is he a Canuck draft pick? I honestly have no idea who they took the previous two drafts, except Klimmer, because so many people have gone on and on and on about how he was going to make the team this year.

Prefer David Jiricek, but Nemec is a fine defenseman as well.

Really hoping the Canucks can get another pick or 2 in the late 1st or early 2nd round. Actually I like some players all the way into the 3rd round so just get some extra picks.

I did have Jiricek higher earlier but I think Nemec has risen above him now. It would just depend on what the team is looking for. Different styles.

I haven't bothered a list yet so I couldn't say whether I like enough players into the 3rd.

There isn't a lot of players that I have thought they are ranked too high among better known draft ranking guys. Maybe just Frank Nazar.

I just see some of the players that their roles in which they are best at are even on this team depth roles and which the team don't need another depth player in that role, we need players that fill a different role more but aid the others in their roles.

Jiricek suffered a knee injury during the wjc, so he may have fallen somewhat on some of the rankings but he is an excellent defenseman.

I don't even know if i'd bother going for a week. I'd try to go for at least 3, preferably 6 or more.

I liked it. The scenery had a lot to do with it seeing I am familiar with Rouses Point and some of the smaller stops.
