2 easy guys to play against for 3 hard guys to play against
- Nucker101

Risto is easy to play against. The guy goes out of position to make a hit all day, every day. Leads to a lot of goals against. Is Konecny that hard to play against? Same with Farabee?

Garland is near the top of the league in drawing penalties, even higher when taking away penalties taken. Same with Petey. Garland may be small, but the kid takes hits and dishes them out. Konecny is a lateral move. Farabee doesn't make up how much Risto downgrades us. Proverov could work possibly instead. Still wouldn't do it though.

Yes. The pool is the lure. The young woman in a bikini is the decoration.

The pool is a tool to lure the women 🤷‍♂️

The best thing for any player in Van is to ignore any sort of media.

Ryan Suter or if S.Webber was going to magically be healthy for the playoffs and then LTIRetire again. What they need is a Pronger.

You meathead, Miller is untouchable. The team needs to build around him.

If the team was closer to being even a legit playoff team I’d agree with you 100%, however, by the time they’re able to compete legitimately, Miller will be 33 years old and washed up with his best years behind him.

What was the overall tally for the Rangers trading for Trouba, Zibanajad and Fox? Damn they got good quickly after being at the bottom of the league just a few short years ago.

I don’t think the Canucks have that kind of assets to pull something like that off….heading over to Google.

Edit: it wasn’t that much actually!! Rangers clear won all of these trades.

1) The Rangers traded Pionk and a first round draft pick for Trouba.

2) Rangers have acquired defenseman Adam Fox from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for the Blueshirts’ own second-round pick in the 2019 NHL Draft and a conditional third-round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft.

3) the Senators traded Zibanejad and a 2018 second-round pick to the New York Rangers for Brassard and a 2018 seventh-round pick.

The answer is Kevin Hayes, JT Miller, Ryan McDonough, Brady Skjei, Mats Zuccarello, Derrick Brassard.

Fox openly said he will only sign in NY, the trade was primarily to sign him right away, rather than risk him changing his mind. The Zib trade was Melnyk not wanting to pay the kids because he is a cheap PoS.

So essentially, the Canucks are in no position to get really good really quickly like the Rangers did. Sell everything and start over.

Looks like Gorton wasn’t afraid to sell one of his top six centers (Hayes) to change the team.

Man, do they have issues. They will enter the playoffs as one of the favourites but I would not be surprised to see them get bounced in the first round… again.

I haven’t watched a Leaf game this year, that I can recall, but apparently goaltending is a huge issue for them….still.

Yup. Defence is suspect too. Leaf management has gone all in on offence and once again forgot what wins championships.

Risto is way more physical than Hughes and a better shooter. You lost playmaking but that’s it.

Farabee and Konecny both bigger than Garland and neither are afraid to mix it up.

It’ll never happen but I’d do it
