With this season all but mathematically over. My question to the masses is who can help this team right this ship. Everyone says we need a scoring winger, but who is this player? Everyone says we need a top four defenseman, but who is this player?

I honestly thought the Toews trade was b/c of the expansion draft and they figured they would lose him anyway.. b/c could only protect 3 d-men. The $$ was a factor but as Lou proved last summer u can always figure sht out when you need cap space.

For him to then move Leddy though and expose Eberle made zero sense... just keep them all and allow them to take 1 of the Toews, Leddy, Ebs..etc. It just doesn't make sense.

Toews is still talking how he respects Lou though which is shocking. They traded him 2 days after he got married with the whole friggin team at the wedding. It's just nuts to me...

Well yeah to most of this but he could’ve still been signed to a contract and not exposed. He was deemed more expendable after the playoffs he had. Even if he were a only top 4 puck moving defenseman (which was what he was at the time)it would be a bad trade for this team. Thought it at the time and it still shocks me to this day. I believe one of the 2nds was used for Pageau and that justified it in peoples minds.

Would’ve been nice to have him and dobson for the next seven years.

Very strange goal against Varly. He was initially tied up, but got up and never really made much of an effort to get out and position. I think it was just the bang bang Aho tripped, shot on net that took him off guard. Unfortunate
