Not sure what Bailey would fetch, if anything.
If you re-sign Greene another year and call up Salo, then you're still missing a top 4, puck-moving defenseman. That is a position of need. Not to mention he'd be another year older.
As for Tito, I'm fine with keeping him, but if we could get a prospect and a pick, then I'd be willing to consider a trade.

Yup. Greene would be the organizations #7.

I’d use some of the money accrued by trade (Varly, Clutterbuck, Bailey ((🤞)), Chara) to try and land Hampus Lindholm as a FA.

Greene as a #7 is fine but other then that(and we know he’ll be overused) he’s not what we need imo. Expecting too much from over the hill players is exactly what’s wrong with this team. Have to stop doing the same thing and expecting a different result. Make a play for a top 4 puck mover. Time to move on from Greene it was fun while it lasted but his game will drop off a cliff like it did last playoffs and we’ll be stuck with him instead of investing in a viable replacement imo.

I trade all UFAs, even Parise. You'd be doing him a favor, trading him to a contending team. He can always be re-signed in the off season.

I listen to offers on EVERYONE. If another team is willing to overpay enough, I trade anyone, even a Barzal..........but the key phrase is "overpay enough".... Bailey might require 2 bags of pucks.

I’d be VERY curious to know what he’d bring back.

The problem with the islanders is that they are not winning these close games this year. Last year we were winning them. The islanders aren’t really getting blown out. I still say the team needs a shake up and a major one. Everyone should be on trade block. If the right deal is there take it. Raty should make this team next year so that’s exciting.

Watching the replay and the refs were just absurd last night... the Tackle before their second goal. the Dobson getting cross checked into the board behind his net that almost was a goal for them... if they didn't call those penalties in the first on the Isles it's fine.. they are "letting them play" .. but that was horse sht

I would certainly move a lot of guys if anyone wanted them.. including all the pending UFA's.. Chara, Clutter, Parise, Greene, ... if u want them for a 4th or 5th.. bye.

then I would see if I can move any of the Palmieri, Hickey, Bailey, Martin, for anything.. would even eat some $$ and throw in a pick or 2. for all the playoff teams looking for "depth and Leadership"

The others I would see what I could get.. u want Varly, Bode wilde, and Holmstrom for a first? done...

Palms - isn't getting traded. He just signed a new contract.
Hickey - isn't getting traded because he's a 33 year old AHL player. Nobody is giving up anything for him. Not to mention that I'm not even sure he's still with the organization.
Martin - meh. Maybe if he was in a package deal you could get something for him. He's on the wrong side of 30 and slowing down. All the hits, fights, scrums and board battles are probably going to start showing pretty soon.
Bailey - He's my curiosity. I have no clue what the market would bear for him. We know him as a lazy D-zone player that definitely is pass first, pass second, pass third, give it away, pass it again then maybe take a shot kind of player. But he puts up assists. so how does the rest of the league see him? Would he benefit from being in a more offensive system like Colorado? Would he look better in another uniform(rhetorical)? If you look at him objectively, he pretty consistently puts up 40-50 points a year. For his career, he's at .555 points per game. That's not bad.
Parise - I have trouble with him. The guy just plays every shift hard. I think he's the hardest worker on the team. But he's 37 and if you're trying to get younger, then he drives up your average age. Trade him or re-sign him, I'm ok either way, but there aren't many guys that work harder than him.

Last time I poked my nose in the Rangers blog, things were… well… less than friendly. So I figured it best to lay low for awhile.

I'd like to see Parise traded AND re-signed. That's the hardest working player on this team, every night. He can keep signing one-year deals at between 750k-$1M until he retires or deteriorates to the point where it's a problem, as far as I'm concerned.

Bailey might have value to someone, but Lou may have to eat some of that deal. His contract situation is actually better than it appears. His cap hit is $5M but he's only paid $3.5M in each of the final two years of his deal. I wouldn't expect much for him, but the real benefit is the cap space.

Palmieri and Parise have been fantastic since they began playing together along with JGP. Possibly coincidental, but nonetheless, they have great chemistry. Personally, I wouldn't trade Parise unless he wanted to be moved. Work ethic and leadership at his price point is a great deal. Plus, he's starting to put up points.

I know most won’t agree but I would jettisone more players then I would keep. Too many of these guys simply didn’t show up this season. You can blame Covid or the road trip but when it comes down to it the players not performing was the REAL problem.

Trade Chara and Varly for certain. There will be a market for them.

Trade Clutterbuck. He’s exactly the sort of guy that playoff teams covet.

Advertise Bailey. Might get a bite. Might not.

Keep Beauvillier. He’s inconsistent, but fast. We need his speed.

Trade Parise and Greene if they both wanna go. If not, then extend for another year at low cost.

Trade Aho. He’s not in the long term plans.

Call up Salo. Give him, Bellows and Wahlstrom the minutes usually reserved for vets. It’ll give them an opportunity to learn, and chastise those who slacked ass up until this point.

Trade Chara and Varly for certain. There will be a market for them. YES Problem is I think Varly is playing hurt.

Trade Clutterbuck. He’s exactly the sort of guy that playoff teams covet. YES

Advertise Bailey. Might get a bite. Might not. Your not trading Bailey straight up. He is a sweetener or part of a whole.

Keep Beauvillier. He’s inconsistent, but fast. We need his speed. His inconsistency drives me fargin nuts !!!! I like the kid.

Trade Parise and Greene if they both wanna go. If not, then extend for another year at low cost. Keep Parise Move on from Greene.

Trade Aho. He’s not in the long term plans. The more I watch him I agree
