You honestly think a sniper like that doesn't have a place on this team? I agree at $7.5m it's too much but as you said previously, canuck fans will be disappointed with the return.

Just got to convince him and his agent to take a team friendly deal. I don't think it's impossible. Unlikely, but not impossible. Curious to see what kind of influence the new management group has. The art of persuasion...

1st plan is a team friendly if he knows the cap is needed to build for contention.

I would let the guys run with it, even if they just miss the playoffs, then let the new regime evaluate and make trades.

True, but not "any return". I don't want more 3rd and 4th line scraps. If trading him doesn't bring in a quality return of high picks and/or difference-makers, let him walk and use the cap space to sign a player who fills a need in free agency.

It's possible Bruce gets more wins this season than TG had in any of his full seasons.

I fondly remember the media hysteria, both local & national, when Green was waiting for an extension (another nail in Benning's coffin). He was one of the best coaches in the league, he got so much out his roster, the players loved playing for him...
Win or lose, I find Boudreau's pressers informative. Honest assessments and not smug and condescending catch phrases.

All very true, but I'm getting a vibe that Green will go back to Juniors or AHL before he gets another shot at the NHL.

Green over-coaches. Is his coaching style more suited to a teaching role?
