Hear is my thinking if they fall out.....
Trade Boeser (if it makes sense, don't sell cheap)
Trade Bo if that gets you the most assets (real big change)
Sign Miller
Trade Motte if he's asking to much
Trade Pearson / Richardenson if you can
Trade Myers if you can
Bo we'd need a young center + prospect + pick IMO
BB go for a young D / or great D prospect + pick
Try and sign Kadri or other C as UFA (there are a few)
Maybe to big of a change lol since they have been playing well since bruce

I imagine anyone trading for Brock would want to shed some salary to fit his in especially with him needing resigning right away.

I heard an interesting mention during the post game show on Thursday. They mentioned that Brock in their interview that day was firm on his desire to stay in Vancouver and they said "which was a lot different then the non committal response they got from Miller on the same question the day before".
I still believe Miller does not want to resign here and would welcome a trade to the right US team. |

I'm sure he'd go to Toronto if they wanted him, high exposure market. I think he wants to win first and foremost.
If we stumble over the next 7 games i'd move him for the proper return. |

I'm not sure Miller would see the Leafs as a winning team outside of the regular season. Serious goal tending issues and he's already made it farther in the playoffs on the Canucks than that team has with more or less the same line up but with worse goal tending now.

Boesers value is probably around 2 1sts and a 2nd. A 25-30g UFA is usually 2 1sts in value, Brock is worth the Xtra 2nd because a team has control over him if they want to qualify him. |

Maybe but it's the wrong equation. Who can afford a package of picks and fit him in the cap with his new deal coming? Not just that but management has stated a number of times now they are not looking at picks in trades as the main pieces. They want young players and ready prospects to fit with the young core.

That's the value, teams use prospects I'm place of picks as needed. So maybe a 2022 1st and a recent 1st round pick, or a later pick that has improved his stock would be another as an example. |
