the good teams wont give him games this season so that eliminates some competition. JR/PA can offer that at least plus point out that the Canucks prospect pool sucks ass so the competition is weaker than it is on most teams. Outside of Rathbone(who still needs work defensively), no dman in the prospect pool is really tracking well enough for NHL action anytime soon.

I think Canucks ( Pitts old crew) will turn to what they know this year and target Letang in the summer. I think with him and Rutherford knowing each other it will be a three year deal or even four to everyone's anger. Almost Benning like.

I do see them having interest is Duda seeing he has a very good shot and is climbing in the ranks. Even though he shoots left, he plays RHD . With Letang signed for three that would give him time to grow.

As far as forwards I think again JR will look to swap Boeser for Kapanen and the first which they use to get Duda.

I still think Zacha could be a Canuck at some time. (Soon?)

I could see that. I do think it depends on Letang priorities, if he wants to stay in the states, if he wants to play for a contender, does he just want one last big fat retirement contract, does he like the idea of being a mentor on a non-contender, his relationship with JRPA, etc.

Canucks are 20-8-4 since the coaching change. I don't think it would take a lot to turn them around.

If they can shed a few contracts and make a smart signing or eight they can maybe turn the corner.

I don't hate the team right now ,unlike last year.

They should probably kick tires on MAF because they're so close (from their history together, on the Penguins).
