Nah I admit my mistakes as well. We never had a chance at Makar. I’m still the only who suggests trade downs sometimes. Avoids an OJ pick when depth is there to pick later.

Schmidt was the Tanev replacement so it's mostly the other two. Either way, clearly Benning (frank)ed up because:

Tanev + Toffoli + league min backup >>> Schmidt + Virtanen + Holtby

You could also argue that the Myers contract played a role in Tanev being let go
