We have not even seen Lafreniere's best. People thought he looked slow, not the case anymore. He's also being forced to play his off wing. There were going to be some growing pains.

Once again it bears repeating. Most recent top picks are heading to disaster teams. Laf and Kakko came to teams where there were established high end veterans. It has stunted their growth 100%.

I'd rather have Laf and Kakko on a good team and get playoff experience unlike most of these other high picks where most will miss the playoffs. Not at all worried about their pp time, that will come, it's harder to score 5V5 which I'd rather have them do.

until they acquire someone, who would you put there?
- jimbro83

I'm saying that I don't think it matters, if you're looking for someone who might bring more to the line. Because Hunt brings virtually nothing.
Like I said, the hustle and puck pursuit that Brodzinski is bringing out there might be a nice fit, even if just short term. The success he's had in Hartford this season gives me hope that he could help that line become something more and that's something I just can't get from Hunt.

What’s the reaction here when we’ve traded for rakell and Kakko is back healthy and yet Hunt is still on the second line

I like Johnny Broadway playing over lots of these guys we throw out there

Hunt's just holding the spot until Kakko is back or they bring someone in from the outside

the answer to the 2nd line player to play with Panarin and Strome isnt here right now, and its ok, they are winning anyway

I would definitely build around him if I were the Jets, that's probably why Schiefele's name is coming up so much in rumours, they need to clear out a salary

Schiefele's contract is pretty reasonable. I'd be willing to try and make him work with the cap if Winnipeg could retain a little.

I've seen here and there for 3 years or more now that he was never happy with the contract he got. He knows he's worth a lot more and I'd imagine this time around he's going to make sure he gets it.

His money isn’t going up yet tho. That’s a pretty good contract to have on your roster

He’s like the forward version of chychrun. That’s a good “hockey” trade..as they say

They won. Who gives a poop what the lineup was. Apparently Gallant might know a tad more than we do

Then he better stop taking dumb penalties.

Honestly, If they could pry Scheifele away from the Peg I drive Strome to the airport.

Strome has been pedestrian lately and Panarin has not quite been himself. You think Hunt is bringing them down?

I kind of look at it in a positive way, maybe Strome doesn't get the payday he was looking at if he was closer to last years numbers?
