But i wonder if the Rangers are even allowed by the league to trade him? He is part of the KHL right now. He may be frozen as a prospect right now - TPC
It appears to partly depend on whether Kravtsov has a Russian based agent or not. If he has western based agent he can still communicate about a return it looks like.

gonna have to smuggle him out of there though - jimbro83
Yeah, that is likely the hardest part. Since he is under contract with the Rangers it seems he would "just" need to find a way out of Russia. Perhaps getting to a country that hasn't banned travel from Russia (yet) and then going to NA from there.

If Kravstov ruins this trade deadline he is dead to all of us. Going to be worse then when Ben Simmons returns to philly
His season as a whole right now has me thinking if he wanted more than 5.5 they need to walk away. His play has dropped off significantly and his increase in penalty minutes isn't helping anything.
I've been pro Strome for a long time but I am not so sure anymore. - JRR1285
Whats a long time? Since Dec?
I agree with less than 6M per. and I have I've been pro Strome for a long time.
Strome is a good player. If the Rangers signed him fine but I never bought in to him and Panarin have this inseparable chemistry that can never be broken up. I am pretty confident if they brought in another top 6 center from outside the organization Panarin would still produce at a high level and that 2nd line would be just fine long term.

I have been pretty much since he got here. I had my moments where my support would wane, and right now is one of those times. He can be a frustrating player.

I agree you got to get him at the right amount- He can play right wing and is teammate beloved in a "very special clubhouse" (Steve V says). I rather have JT miller given the choice- if we can get him in a trade with out giving up obvious roster players I would do it.

Do you realize that he has 1 minor penalty in the last 5 games? He is averaging a little more than usual for his career, but it's still only one about every third game. I think it's more the nature of his infractions, often with his stick. But, he's not exactly living in the box.
We live in a laboratory with these guys constantly under microscopes.
I stand by my man. Regardless of a recent down turn in productivity, he has produced and been a leader for the vast majority of his time here.
We’ve had Strome questions for a long time now. The jig is finally up this summer. I could easily see them trade for a second line center retain him (Ie-Hertl) and just let Strome walk the summer. I think the org feels a lot like you do - Slimtj100
The thing with Hertl is his cost to resign will be prohibitive in bringing in another player to help with the bottom 6. We would have to have a lot of confidence in what we have to do this.
