Way to battle Eric Comrie!

The guy battles like crazy every start he gets so he will likely get to play again in 5 weeks as this coaching staff is so useless.

Scheifele, SHOOT THE PUCK !
(a) You were in a perfect shooting position
(b) Wheeler was not
(c) Your shot is 25x better than Wheelers.

Haha.. 😆😅🤣😂

Thanks for the chuckle, I literally lol'd at this and sadly it's so true.

Comrie really should get more starts, he's played well and the season is lost anyway, should get Berdin up for some games too.

Hellebuyck has sucked, could give him the rest of the season off imo.

I would give just about anyhting to see a Mike keenan type of coach finish the year as HC.

Bad goal, pull the goalie at anytime and maybe even put him back in again in the same game. It hurts your feeelings as the #1, waaa cry me another.

Someone like this would also likley re-arrange the lineup for optimum play without having to bend to the loyalty based play / lineup culture in Wpg.

What ever happened to playing the hot goalie? When did that end? Do some NHL coaches still emply that strategy or has that coaching strategy aspect now been phased out? These are some questions that keep me up at night.

1st round highly touted Dman, hmmmm.... maybe we will get him into a game or two sometime.

Darryl Sutter would coach this team differently.

Comrie has been at least as good as Helly for the last 20 games - but seriously - this team's best chance to get on a roll and win a few rounds is with hellebuyck in net and finding his game again.

Good effort tonight by the Jets. Finally starting to play like they mean it and Ehlers has certainly helped add to the offence. So with the win in St. Louis the Jets are suddenly making it tough on Chevy . The two games against Vegas are absolutely huge, however, one of them comes AFTER the trade deadline. Chevy also has to remind himself that only one team wins the cup and while a healthy Jets team might make the playoffs they just don't have the third and fourth lines that are needed to go deep in the playoffs....at least IMHO.

BTW....if you look at the top 90 or so point scorers in the NHL guess who leads that group in minus and by a good margin.....Mark Scheifele. Last I looked he was -19. He missed his check on the St. Louis extra-man goal. If he could just clean up the defensive side of his game it could make the difference between winning and losing in some of the remaining games. As some on here have pointed out , maybe a bit less ice time would help but unfortunately it comes back to the Jets not really having great third and especially 4th lines. Particularly so when it comes to offence.

I haven't been counting, but it sure seems like Helly gets beat on his stick side a lot lately.

Maybe his pre-game eye exercises are not going far enough to his right ?

Great letter from Chipman to season ticket holders today !
Our deposits get returned and no more contracts - just year to year.

I would guess that that spot is the weakest spot for the majority of NHL goalies. No?

In other news, Manson to the Avs for a 2nd and decent prospect. Decent return for pending UFA I would say.

Game tomorrow night determine if the Jets add or subtract? I do not want them to lose our UFA's (Stastny and Copp) for zilch!

Couldn't tell you, I only watch the Jets and simply pointed out what I've observed.

Jets fans can't be real happy about Matthews getting suspended for two games when the Leaf's next game is against Dallas. That late Dallas goal and then two overtime losses against Dallas could really come back to haunt the Jets

Will be at the game tonight - a couple of rows up from behind the Jets bench.

Hopefully the boys realize they are being heavily scouted - and playing for a spot on my next year's team. lol

Actually, if PLD keeps playing like he did in the last game especially, and Helle is Helle, I expect a Jets win in their biggest game of the season thus far. The key word is "if" I guess.

But PLD has been a beast lately, Copnnor is Connor, Ehlers is back in shape and flying, and surely Scheif and Wheeler will come to play.

Win and we're two points out for a playoff spot, lose and we're basically done IMO. The team with the most intensity will win. Hello Jets!

Will be ecstatic with a win, and if a loss, so be it. Next year! Regardless, think they should maximize their returns on Copp and Stastny. Hopefully Copp is good to go.

Vegas is missing quite a bit of talent, so the opportunity is there.
