Bought an EV late last year. One of the best decisions I've ever made. Fun as hell to drive, barely any maintenance and range is never a problem. And now gas prices lul.

Let me throw another stinkburger on the grille to discuss...
What if.... Russian nationals are denied work permits as a result of ongoing issues and ongoing war in Ukraine. It is not far fetched that new free world economic blocks are formed... and if these players are denied the ability to work here/transfer money to their former KGB operative playeragents and home to their motherland...
Dealing Provorov as a pre-emptive action unless he renounces Russian citrizenship..of course if he has family there that will not happen as they will be sent to the gulag.
It would gut certain teams- Tampa/St Louis etc/NYR |

Regarding Risto being resigned, I think it is highly likely considering the mindset of this organization.
There is no way Chuck is going to admit his mistake and trade away a defenseman that he spent so many assets to acquire. Expect him to double down, which is very much in line with the rigid thinking that is prevalent among the Flyers brass. Not to mention he plays the body and is physical, which is right up The Countryclub's alley as well.
I'm sure they can't wait to pay this guy actually. - StepfordSam
You can bet your ass they are trying to bring him back.
There were beats that were hammering thr Ristolainen drums even before he was brought into Philadelphia. They are trying to to do same now to gain support for bringing him back.

Any chance Atkinson is dealt?
And would we want that? - ParentConnSmythe75
A player that scores around 30 goals a year and kills penalties also for under $6M is a bargain and the type of player you build with. I hope he stays. |

Ok, so if Risto does resign with the Flyers for less than he is making now, which has been reported by Elliot Freidman, do you give Fletcher credit? |

Fletcher is beloved by that old guard because he lets them be involved. Likely far more than Hextall ever did.
The Flyers are going to tread water until those beloved men are no longer influencing the team. It’s very clear where the issues with the organization currently lie, and it’s with those who have continually shown to incompetent in the current NHL.
Only morons will believe the idea of some sort of retool here will produce anything of worth. - FlyerFan3260
That's right, because in Hextall's 5 years the Flyers were SO successful while Hextall was shutting out that ol' guard .. and his scouts as it turns out ... and his analytics which before Fletcher Hextall didn't seem to invest in either. |

Tune in for the semis and finals. The top AA teams are as good as most AAA teams. Saw Pennridge AA beat Holy Ghost Prep AAA this year. Great hockey kids work hard and very entertaining. AA SHSHL finals was better then any Flyers game I have seen in years. To each his own but I find it great hockey - hfc355
Enjoy. I’ll stick w the nhl |

Fletcher traded a 1st round pick and a 2nd round pick for one of the worst graded players in regards to analytics in the past few years. And is interested in re-signing that same player. |

Costs no more than a new truck and the cost to keep it charged for a month is less than the cost of a tank of gas. |

Now, let’s compare Ristolainen’s numbers to the rest of the league.
Through March 6th, 102 defensemen played at least 800 minutes at 5-on-5 play. Ristolainen has the 16th-worst GA/60, 15th-worst SCA/60, 12th-worst HDCA/60, and finally the eighth-worst xGA/60. For a defenseman that is supposed to defend the net and limit goals (and chances!), Ristolainen is doing pretty poorly.

I think those issues will be addressed and I'm feeling optimistic about Briere becoming more involved in the mgmt team, along with additional hires into the analytics department.
The Flyers have a decent core that can definitely be improved through some smart signings and coaching staff hires. I'm really curious to see what happens between now and the end of free agency. - lindros's lung
Flyers should stay out of signing long term free agents. What makes you feel optimistic about Briere? What do you know about him as a hockey exec?

So what? Analytics are part of the overall assessment of the player, not the entire assessment. Also, with the Flyers' bolstered analytics department, why would the Flyers want to resign Risto if his "real" analytics were really that bad? |

I think part of the point there is we have been hearing baseless rumors from some that the flyers don’t use analytics which we now know to be false.
They already had a large staff and have since added to that of late.
If only all of the Data could have predicted, Ellis, Hayes and Ex Selke going down and also most likely of their decent prospects.
