Again, we all bow at your feet genius! Enjoy the game. Risto brings something to this team that it needs. There is such a lack of physicality on this team, but he needs to be no higher than a 5 or 6 Dman. Heard he is willing to resign for 4 million a year. Uh oh! - Phillywhiteout
Never said I didn’t support Risto being here, I do. That doesn’t mean the fans haven’t chosen to advise against bringing him back among themselves. |

Physical play needs to be effective. Ristolainen is rarely effective with his physical play. What he brings is definitely not what this team needs.

Dave Scott is NOT breathing down Fletcher's neck in terms on hockey decisions, all Dave Scott wants is a winning team so his revenue numbers look good for Comcast. Clarke just wants to win, he has absolutely no loyalty to players like Risto. And you have absolutely no evidence that the Flyers are playing catchup in the analytics game, in fact there is evidence that shows they are ahead of the game. - jd250

C'mon, Stewart signing was clearly just a favour to Stewart to try and resurrect his career. He was not able to and it wasnt something that hurt the team. He simply disappeared over the course of the season - xShoot4WarAmpsx
Well said! It boggles my mind that people keep bringing up Stewart. It was 3 years ago and he played sparingly for 16 games early in the season. It happens in sports...teams give players a chance. 16 games at less than 8 mins ATOI so a little over 2 hours of ice time....I would've forgotten he was here if his name didn't keep coming up.

Pietrangelo on his ass and Braun scores. That’s not how that’s supposed to happen.

Does it boggle your mind that Stewart is one of two players that the GM signed that didn't belong in the NHL? It's an example of the poor decision making by the GM.

No it doesn't bother me. I'm no fan of Fletcher but like I said, most sports teams make signings like this on occasion. It would be great if every player signed was a stud and worked out well, but that's not real life. Fletcher has made plenty of poor decisions but signing 2 players (I assume the other is Nate?) who do not belong in the NHL are the least of our problems.

Most sports teams make signings like Stewart? I don't think so. He was not an NHL player and everyone knew it. You're confused. That was not about a signing that just didn't work out. The other is Yandle and he has been a huge problem this season.
