Lots of teams have good goaltending and a scoring vet leading in points, the formula works to a certain extent. Not enough depth means they probably wont go far, but the guys leadig that team have won a few times so anything can happen in the big dance. Seems like trading for another vet scorer is a little silly. Byfield isnt going anywhere.

Yeah, it was vague but my point was they won't want to trade any young pieces right now because they aren't close and need those young guys to keep developing

They’re after Chychrun not a top 6 guy. Byfield and Turcotte have been asked for by many teams in trades and they get immediately turned down. I don’t think Miller is a fit there.

And again. Why trade him now? There is no rush. Do it in the summer if he won’t extend. You’ll have a much larger pool of trade partners with cap space.

I think teams are willing to pay more now to get into a better playoff situation.

Just worried about K-man...

I think he thought wing night was last night at the redmile instead of tonight...might still be down there...

That’s never been the case historically. Always better value waiting until off season. More teams have cap flexibility and a plan to improve. Trade deadlines are historically a very bad time to make a hockey trade.

My wife and I are looking for a golf course home in the Bucerías area, any suggestions?

Someone always makes a bad decision though, like Paul Gaustad for a 1st round pick bad

Don’t look in Bucerias. Look in Punta Mita.

Bucerias much less touristy but not a golf resort. Punta Mita not too far away but is very much a golf resort area. Everything from lower priced condos to ultra luxury 5 star resort/residences. Lots of Canadians there.

What are you hearing on Twitter? Heard yesterday Rutherford may have contacted the Pens on a MIller deal. Anything?

Byfield or Turcotte would be nice. I don't see it happening, but we shouldn't trade Miller there without one of them coming back.
- Retinalz

Why Turcotte? He’s doing nothing special & not looking like top 6 so far.

Back then it seemed like GM’s really didn’t fully understand the effects of a hard salary cap. I feel like on average, GM’s today are more stingy with picks and prospects plus it just seems like now there’s more sellers than buyers compared to when the Canucks were contending.

No, I'm still playing the tour response balls from Taylormade. They work well for me.

Do you like Marino? I think that’s a pretty good return for Boeser

He’s an okay 2nd pairing guy from what I’ve read from Pens fans this year and seen looking at his nerd stat profile.

Reliable defensively, but struggles against heavier forwards. Probably needs to be paired with a puck mover.

Seems like a good partner for Quinn. Only 24 and signed long term. I don’t watch a lot of penguins games but he seems smooth and solid defensively. 6’1 so not a Smurf

Pens fans don’t seem too impressed with Marino this year.

Evan Rodrigues has some nice fancy nerd stats but I haven’t really watched the Pens play enough to comment on the eye test for him
