I think they need a guy who can fire bombs from the blue line , a tough fighter , a goal scorer , a tough Dman like Chiarot , and another center. It sounds like a lot (not alot,suck it Kman ) but add two or three pieces a year.

I’ve been saying the trade deadline isn’t when you make hockey trades. It’s when you dump unwanted assets or UFA’s. Summer is when most hockey trades happen.

Bombs from the blue line? 5 on 5 maybe but as long as they play Hughes as the single D on the point on the PP for 90 seconds, that skill will be wasted. Kind of like OEL now... a player who has always been known to get his shots through is being wasted in that regard.

Since he was mentioned (Duda) I looked at a few clips to see why. He has a good hard shot . Canucks currently don't have that type of guy and really need someone that makes the other team not think that it has to be a pass.

I also like Mukhamadullin but he is still very wild . Great control of the play but shoots like Ricky Vaughn in Major League.

Major trades are so risky. I mean if it is Motte I don't care but when you step up a grade like Garland or Boeser it gets a lot trickier .

I usually pop by after wins, see it's dead, and leave. After a loss I generally stay away for the reasons you mentioned
