So Jake is elite now? Or over the course of his career? Big difference. And why only look at his assists deciding how good a player jake is? Lets talk about his defense now if were done admiring his assist totals in his career - bradster
He's been an elite playmaker and transition player for most of his career, all the way up to the present day.
If he's that good at something, who the (frank) cares about his defense? Are you a Flyers 200 foot Senior Advisor, lol? |

York recalled. Does this mean they have realized Seeler isn't an NHL player? Does it mean they will finally scratch Yandle? Or more likely a defenseman is injured? |

It is when talking about playmaking. Which is specifically what they have been discussing this past hour.

Patrick Kane barely plays defense. Guess he's not an elite playmaker either. Hawks were always better off without him. Just can't win with players like that. |

Jake Voracek would have saved this team this year, his elite playmaking and transition play is the missing link to the Flyers success. He really pushed us over the hump last year if you didn’t watch. |

maybe i am.
Cant wait to see Jakey get in the HOF for his elite playmaking. Should be a fun ceremony, hes always good for some quotes. Id much rather Cam than Jake. But hey, thats just me. Cam isnt elite at assists, perhaps why he is $2M cheaper

They want him to see the NHL game from the press box so he can understand it better, and apply what he saw in the AHL |

According to you guys have to play defense to be considered good, so yeah... kinda interchangeable by your standards. |

Hayes and coots also played last season. Going to be bottom 3 in the division again. |

i know the bar was set high last year with jake and our stellar season, but cant be anything to do with injuries over last year. Gotta be the lack of jake on the team. Now it all makes sense. We need to do anything we can to get him back.

Yup, it was all jake. Hayes and coots would never have been able to assist us reach that bar set so damn high. |

Jakes transition play is really missed...
Yea, so is having more than 4 NHL level Dmen, losing the anchor of Keith Yandle, Our top two centers playing, any young guy to ever step up and take a larger role, adequate drafting the past 8 years, a competent coach and GM. But yea, Jake got this all covered, just go get him back. |

If Hart was even half as good last season as he was this year, they probably sniff the POs. The team overall wasn't even that bad. Flawed but not terrible.
This season, even when healthy, they were terrible. They've been stuck in their own zone all season long.

Hayes is as irrelevant this season as he was last season.
2022 Laughts has been more effective than 2021 Hayes. |

Swapping Jake and Atkinson back doesn’t make this team better any way you slice it man, you’d still have a crap team in the same position. Or should I say better overall since the transition play would be wayyy better |

Is it a coincidence that the more NHL forwards the Flyers have playing, the better they are play? They are down to 2 AHL forwards, Mayhew and Brown. No one wants to see it but when Thompson comes back, Mayhew is the odd man out. - WhiskeyMan
MacEwen is the most AHL forward of any forward on the roster.
Mayhew 6 points in 21 games
Brown 6 points in 27 games
MacEwen 5 points in 54 games

Mayhew and Brown are not AHL forwards. Mayhew has proven he is a viable 4th line option and Brown has been a good addition to the 4th line since he came back. Macewen is the only AHL player left.
They have played better but still a long way to go. The Vegas game should have been a loss. Too many Penalties and too many times hemmed in our own zone. The team still struggles in all 3 zones

I wish I could understand the York recall in the light of them putting him back on the right side of the third pair with Yandle, but I don’t.

Yup
The only improvement this year over last is the goaltending. Put last year’s goaltending on this team and they are dead last in the NHL |
