Ek has been doing that for years unfortunately. It always magically starts happening around the trade deadline and draft.

That's probably volume based - swarms of folks come in for the trade rumors

At the time I made the comment about Lindblom he was playing like nothing more than just another 4th liner. He has played better of late, but he is not now or has ever been a top 6 option for this team. That's the problem with this team, players with the limited skillset of Lindblom are currently playing much higher in the lineup than they should be. In the case of Farabee, I had seen 1/2 an NHL season from him, one where he I think went about 15 games without a goal, so I rightly wanted to see more from him before I could say definitively what I thought his ceiling was. As it is, he is a good player, but he certainly not top-end talent and not a top line player for this team.

So as you typically do because your Papa Hextall drafted them, you completely over value players. I am right about most things actually, and the facts prove that. I was the first post Patrick was a bust, and your lambasted me for it. I was the first to say what Fletcher would do this past off season and it happened almost exactly as I said it would, even nailed it on getting Ellis and trading Jake when you said no way either would happen. So LEARN FROM ME GRASSHOPPER ... LEARN!!

Youre 10000000000000000 times the Fletch Sycophant than any Hextall supporter ive come across

Wow, talk about a dude falling off his perch. Only two 3rd round picks for Carsie? Wow, that's quite the fall. Sounds like he doesn't work and play well with others. Perhaps he'll grow up someday, but perhaps he won't.

And yes, the Flyers certainly miss Voracek for zone entries on the PP and anyone trying to argue that point is simply misguided, but that don't mean I want him back. Thanks again!

Washington might be the only other big four pro franchise that’s a bigger embarrassment than the Flyers. It is incredible how they shoot themselves in the foot over and over and over.

Except this is the only website I’ve seen it happen to since like 2005. And it happens repeatedly lol. Ek knows what he’s doing.

Lindblom wasnt a top-6 option when he was tearing it up with Coots and TK? That line was flat out dominant.

And you definitely weren't the first person here pooing on NP... because I'm pretty sure that was me. (Or maybe it could have been plind bc he poops on literally everything )

I definitely think sms was the first to be poopting on fake migraine boy from moment he went out of line up. Actually before that

My worry of these two players is simple. Are they gonna be physical enough to play on a regular basis in the NHL? York has looked okay when he has played, but yet another guy who gets easily knocked off the puck. I hear the same issues about Brink. A small guy that is easily pushed around. We shall see I suppose. When/if the Flyers trade Giroux I hope they bring Frost up and throw him into the fire! Let him play with Atkinson and Farabee. He then can sink or swim. I have no faith in the kid personally and it takes all my power to not suggest that he is going to be a bust.
- Phillywhiteout

This is my concern about Brink. He is small and not especially fast. The NHL may be a hard slog for him.

There are a few guys in the league who are small/slowish and thriving: Bunting, DeBrincat, Granlund, Caufield, Zuccarello, Skinner, Pageau and Hartman come to mind.

Some of those guys have very similar skill sets to Mr Brink.

we have a winner for crappiest comment of the day right here. You know nothing about what the kid was and is going through. If you knew anything about brain injuries, you would understand that the doctors know very little about causes or cures.

Idk, they need help on the backend. They are looking at another first round exit, Dubas going to be shown the door. Maybe we scoop him!

Couple of things would give me pause, like Nylander being UFA-bound soon and trading Prov would mean they likely do something dumb on July 1.

But Nylander is elite level skill... don't get a shot at that very often.

Both on reasonable contracts. We are losing G, our backend is a mess though. Tough pill to swallow but what do you think is harder to bring back up to speed, the offense or the defense?

The Flyers are too short on defense in my opinion to trade Provorov for a forward. Flyers historically have been able to draft and develop forwards. Always had issues with building a defense. I truly believe that Provorov is shell shocked from too many minutes with too big of a burden and not enough help.

I could totally see Chuck giving somebody like Ben Chiarot a retirement contract in the name of improving goals against lol.

but the original idiot poster ripped the flyers for not taking Caufield, then in his next post, poops on Brimk for his size

With the exception of DeBrincat , he is much smaller than most of those guys. Unlike DeBrincat, he is not considered particularly fast. Hope he ends up like him but very small players who are not particularly quick can have problems in the NHL.
