problem has zero to do with the fanbase. - hello it's me 2050
It has EVERYTHING to do with the fanbase. The fanbase are not guys like you. You are a statistical negligibility. The fanbase is the group of people around the area for whom going to Flyers games has become a tradition where past history and the spectacle and all that jazz is enough to bring them in.
Until you realize this is a business, which you probably never will, you are essentially asking why McDonald's is not serving A5 Kobe in their burger patties.
Risto trade giving away 1st rounder and now signing
Laughton long term contract
Hayes long term signing and NTC
Gambling on Ellis
Giving Couturier a long term deal with NTC.
all at this stage of the team's fortunes! When there is not a single player on top pairing or top line who scartes anybody?
If you believe a business makes decisions like that because they are inept, I can but roll my eyes and chuckle. No professional business in the history of mankind makes decisions like this, and Comcast is a highly competent business. Look at their stock price.
Suddenly, one part of that same top end business is so poorly run? Bull (frank)ing poop. They are doing it because this is the way that maxes their profits and their revenue.

And yeah, keep repeating it, my man. Repeat it ten more times in between bites on those pork rolls.
We all know that is the way things are proved in this world: repetition.
ps: By the way, I used the word 'Sn1gger' (which I edited out to chortle, but not quick enough as quoted in your insightful reply), which this blessed site auto-corrected to sAfrican-American!!

What happened was Chuck tried to trade him. Offers where so bad he decided to overpay and keep him.... - hello it's me 2050
Funny you say thatâŚon NHL radio this morning Elliot Freidman said itâs a buyers marketâŚthat means the Flyers werenât likely to get a decent offer, if things remained that way. Or at least an offer that you would expectâŚ.now that can change but I will say I was surprised it was an AVV of 5.1âŚ.. I donât think heâs been better then that this year, but I thought he would definitely head to UFA.

Who says we have to trade Sanheim? Right now the Flyers have $18M tied up in Ellis, Provey and Risto. Good teams spend around $23M on defense, about 28% of their cap. Right now Sanheim is on a 2 year deal making just under $5M so that get the Flyers up to that $23M mark. If the Flyers bring up two kids at roughly $1M each you are over but not by that much. The thing I wonder is this, is Provey the one that will be traded?? Think about it, which player gets you are better return, Provey or Sanheim? Also which player has completely yacked on his shoes these past 2 seasons?

Donât you not think the flyers and their top 3 analytics staff in all of the nhl have access to the same data as you?
Are you saying they are ignoring the advice of their own analytics staff or maybe just maybe their analytics staff knows a little bit more than you?
I love it when folks look at their free analytics data and act like they are Keith Allen. - Joe Nardone
So what are you saying here... that the Flyers have some secret number that says that RR is a fantastic player worth $25.5M dollars and it doesn't match up with anything else (eyes, scoring chances, shots, goals against, etc)?
Or... is it possible that the Flyers' half-baked analytics department simply doesn't have a real seat at the table?

Would anyone agree that Sanheim is having his best season as a Flyer? If so, ask yourself why! The answer .. Rasmus Ristolainen. There is no analytic for this.
