[quote=K-man25]What do you think made them pick April 8th? How much different will it be by then? Why not right now with both?
I’d like to know what they based thatApril 8th date on. 1 week after spring break essentially

- Jkuzzi

why not 1 day? 2 weeks to be even safer? I’m not so sure they had a solid answer for this.

I plan on being in Van at the end of April for a hockey game and a concert, I expect it to feel weird being around that many unmasked people but it's nice that we can finally do stuff like that again.

- NorthNuck

You'll probably find a lot of people still wearing masks in the city but you're right, it's nice to be getting back to a form of normalcy.
What concert (I'm sure I'll hate it)? I can't wait to see some live music!

We're dropping indoor masking and vax pass stuff at the end of the month here, I assume BC is doing similarly?
- NorthNuck

I was in a restaurant today and out of 15 people I was the only one without a mask. (frank)ing hilarious

K-man and the shitstick aint so bad Rubes don't be too hard on them. They are expecting all Nuck fans to cheer the Flames on when they make the SCF. Because that's what they would do if Van made the finals...

lol

I have cheered for the Flames if/when Canucks are out since back in the Smythe division days especially the days of Gilmour, Otto, Fleury, Nieuwendyk, Macoun, MacInnis days.
That was a fun team to watch.

Can't figure out how some actually choose to cheer for the Oilers

Check the source.
And those were some good Flames teams back then.

I like Motte quite a lot. I think another of him instead of Chaisson would be a big upgrade. But anything over $1.5m is too much and should be filled with an entry level contract.

Trading him is a tough call. You don't want to lose him for a playoff run, but a 2nd would be tempting.

- micah555

Motte continues to get better each season. He's on pace for 26 point - from a 4th liner that's incredible. He does just about everything well, forecheck, skate, Hit, PK, and can play up and down the lineup effectively. He absolutely deserves upwards to 2.5MIL, it would be awesome if we could get him for around 1.75 BUT The problem is we have a bunch of fawkheads like D!ckskin, Poolman, Hamonic and a slew of past players who've earned WAY more than they should so it distorts what guys like Motte actually are worth and deserve.

It's hard to cheer for the Flames sometimes as the vast majority of their fans are so dense...but if they made the finals it would be nice to see a cup back in Canada. No way they are getting past Garys boys though...not on his watch.

But yes those days were fun with 80's Oilers/Flames rivalry. We'll never see that type of Hockey ever again were some epic moments. My Dad knew some Oilers staff in the 80's we went to quite a few games I actually used to think Gretz was quite over-rated until I saw him play live. How that guy saw every inch of the ice like that was beyond belief.

Yep and it sucks because Motte is the only guy that might get traded.

Interesting.
I have worked with many fans of both those teams and all I can say is how dead wrong you are. I swear Oilers fans are the dumbest in the league. Even Leafs fans aren't as dumb.
A Flames fans can explain and understand the game, an Oilers fan usually talks about McDavidor Gretzky, no concept of the game itself.
