Only easy add I can find is a replacement for Chiasson. Ideally a 2-way PK type. Sure a top 4 D but don’t see that likely given it’ll be expensive & we are not in a position at this time to do it.

Look what happened to Mtl when they started removing their best players Price Weber Danault . Hero to zero in 60 seconds.

Again I think you try to build instead of subtract.

I wonder if the Canucks will look at Karlsson next year . Could be like another Hoglander.

I can see a Marino for Boeser move but again I would not be surprised to see Brock on Canucks next year roster.

Exactly my mind set. Karlsson has been a fresh surprise. Keeping Boeser if he’ll sign a team friendly works for me. Say 5-6/6m. I just don’t see the Pens weakening the RHD moving out Marino. If JR/PA can do some magic to get enough cap I’d make the play for UFA Klingberg if 5/8m. Longer makes me a bit nervous.

Are you saying you want the Canucks to be spending roughly 30 million in cap, on their top 4 defense?

Been meaning to ask you this the 1st time you posted this, a few months back.

Also, when the trade for Karlsson was 1st made, you were concerned about all the offense that was going to be lost and if I recall correctly Donna an I were the only ones who preferred his game over Dahlen's.

He had the empty netter and an assist and 4 shots on goal. It's pretty ridiculous that the guy has a 2 point night in a win that he certainly contributed to and you rip him.

Bo didn’t have a great game last night but he’s a fine captain and a good hockey man.

Something no one has mentioned before about cap relief is the buy out of Myers? Sounds dumb for a few reasons but.

Next year would be a savings of 4 mil in cap relief . The second year you pay full price of 6 mil but you have a lot more cap space as in 33 mil .

I don't hate Myers so I am not sure if you just keep him for the two years or for the group that want Chaos Giraffe gone that is an option without giving up an asset to move him. I am also assuming the cap will finally go up in year two.

I believe Halak's bonus can also be paid out over two years so for all the moaning that goes on it looks like a 2.75 mil contract that can be paid out over 3 years.

Plenty of ways to move money around .

Bo hasn't looked himself in many of the games I have seen, this season( about 20), but is still on pace for the coveted 50 point 2LC production, that most of the geniuses in here reading talk about.

Who knows why, but I suspect it has something to do with some of the players giving up on the previous coach, which IMO, if that did happen, shame on those players, even though most of us are pretty happy with the end result.

It was cute that Bo came out and said this should be a statement game and pulled a Loui Eriksson by being invisible at 5v5 and scoring an empty net goal, plus using his 215 pound game to throw zero hits in a statement game.

A truly inspiring leader

Trying to figure out what your post has to do with the quote aside from you showing off your vagina.

Who ever is slumping is the trade target. Hughes, Petey, Boeser, Hoglander, etc etc... now it's Bo. No wonder the team thinks our fans are a joke.

Gotta luv it…

https://www.sportsnet.ca/...-down-roots-with-canucks/

A thundering hit machine, cheap & more than steady & an all around class act. Nothing says to me move him to the contrary he’s a great value depth vet.

- Nighthawk

How can you not like the guy, he knows what he's good at and sticks to it, plus he's getting paid pennies. No reason to move him, he's someone who will always be a good support player.

Don't remind him. He wouldn't understand anyways. Look how long he pushed Petey as the real captain and true Alpha...

Axe to grind because he stole the C from Petey. Just laugh at it and don't take it serious.

It's just a schtick he has going, he has been playing/trying to be controversial on any topic for over a year now.

If someone calls him out he tries to double down, but really does look foolish with all his flop cocking.

In his rookie season, he was the only player that showed any heart in the playoffs... that includes the Sedins and all the other leaders on the team.

It's a carry over from junior. I don't think it was an anomaly at all...

I thought he was referring to the real bubble beasts, Hughes and Pouty.

That's way to much for Bo, I think a 4th round puck should work.

I was going to suggest tough guy Bret Ritchie cause that’s what Nucker feels will work.
