I was going to suggest tough guy Bret Ritchie cause that’s what Nucker feels will work. - K-man25
A real captain jumps players who hit your players. Probably work for him.

Bo has good trade value, his trade value is much higher than what he brings to the team so no I would want more but yes I'd 100% trade him before the league catches on to how overrated he is |

Are you saying you want the Canucks to be spending roughly 30 million in cap, on their top 4 defense?
Been meaning to ask you this the 1st time you posted this, a few months back.
Also, when the trade for Karlsson was 1st made, you were concerned about all the offense that was going to be lost and if I recall correctly Donna an I were the only ones who preferred his game over Dahlen's. - Reubenkincade
I don’t recall caring one way or the other on Dahlen.
As for 30m on D it is what it is if going to get a top 2 D. Term on D is ok. As cap goes up it’ll go towards F’s. A cheap back up also saves cap. Bottom pairing should be cheaper if top 4 gets sorted out.

Any deal for Bo to be worth it has to have a center who is excellent at face offs, is tougher and out produces Bo point wise or isn't worth it and not an upgrade. You can't leave a big hole down the middle. What are the odds that someone trades a C like that in a BO deal? Not bloody likely.
Management are not taking it personal that Petey didn't get awarded the C so I expect them to approach it if at all with some common sense. |

if you guys had a decent young center then I'd offer a trade, Bo is useful for faceoffs so would need to help there. Poirier is intriguing as a dman prospect

Something no one has mentioned before about cap relief is the buy out of Myers? Sounds dumb for a few reasons but.
Next year would be a savings of 4 mil in cap relief . The second year you pay full price of 6 mil but you have a lot more cap space as in 33 mil .
I don't hate Myers so I am not sure if you just keep him for the two years or for the group that want Chaos Giraffe gone that is an option without giving up an asset to move him. I am also assuming the cap will finally go up in year two.
I believe Halak's bonus can also be paid out over two years so for all the moaning that goes on it looks like a 2.75 mil contract that can be paid out over 3 years.
Plenty of ways to move money around . - VANTEL
Maybe the logical are Dlckinson Hamonic & Poolman. Trade be best. |

Who ever is slumping is the trade target. Hughes, Petey, Boeser, Hoglander, etc etc... now it's Bo. No wonder the team thinks our fans are a joke.

It’s more about cap gymnastics for the right return. Focus is on other cap moves imo |

How can you not like the guy, he knows what he's good at and sticks to it, plus he's getting paid pennies. No reason to move him, he's someone who will always be a good support player. - NorthNuck
Exactly & luvs Vancouver & a family man who wants roots here. 👍 |

If it’s about cap then let’s get rid of the players who don’t earn their cap hit. |

Well the popular targets change slump to slump and with who the media is focusing on... regardless of cap savings. |

PO performer shouldn't mean great captain, otherwise Patrick Kane would be great captain material |

Didn’t say only a PO performer. He’s stuck it out in lean years & more than held his own. If a trade casualty then all the focus is on the return. What teams need him?
NJD
Ducks
Bruins
just a few that come to mind. |
