Why is Sanheim the one to trade?

I don't agree with it and I would not, but due to contract and depth on the left side.

I think everyone is disappointed by his play. The real question is why it's so subpar. This is what happens when a good player falls out of favor. It was the same things with Gostisbehere and Voracek. You started reading about negative character issues being floated around. It's a symptom of a dysfunctional organization.

It's simple, they're going to go all out in free agency if they can obtain cap space. I used to get excited during the day knowing there was a Flyers game on at night. I used to anticipate October, waiting for the season to start. Now I find myself getting bored watching a game.

Bill, the story of the day is return of Wade Allison.
I am assuming you watched the game. I believe Wade scored a goal in his last 4 consecutive games for Phantoms.
He clearly has the mojo and the shot to be a 20+ goal scorer for Flyers.
My question is how do we keep this kid on the ice?
His tendency to play hard, or even recklessly at times, seems to contribute to his injury problems. Last night was another example with the sliced hand.
He seems to be strong/developed enough to handle rigors of everyday NHL physicality.
Should the coaching staff attempt to tweak his style of play for the sake of durability?

Jake with a tough hit last night. I had thought the jackets were making a move and then looked. 13 points out with around 20 to go.

That was a scary hit. Foligno caught him a little with the shoulder but he clearly stuck his leg out. Jake is an elite passer that refuses to shoot. Wild were cheating knowing he’d pass. Jackets got blown out the night before but came to play. Announcer said this was their best game in awhile. Wild still dominated but couldn’t finish.

Could be many reasons (on the player and the team). Funny though how you blame the organization for everyone's failures/regression. At some point when does the player become accountable? He has been in the league what 6 years now?

Maybe some of these guys just are not as good as you though/want them to be. Nah that cant be itl.

This team has been so disgusting to watch for years now with their inconsistency. At least RR is consistently giving 100% effort. Pencil him in for 4+ hits a game. Is he out of position sometimes sure but at least you see real compete. You can’t pencil anyone else in for anything ahead of the game because of how fragile & inconsistent these bumms are. How is the fan base not sick of minimal effort & continued inconsistency. I’d much rather watch/have guys give 100% effort like MacEwen, RR & Atkinson whether they are the worst players on earth or not show some heart effort pride don’t fold like lawn chairs disappear for 10+ games play 18+ minutes & have all zeros across the board. Positioning can be taught effort can not be. It’s a joke

I stopped watching the games because the product on ice is a disgrace.
I used to look forward to free agency while I wondered who the flyers would sign that year. Now I get nervous and worry about who CF is going to trade, sign, or extend goof forward. It's not exciting anymore. It's more depressing and head scratching than anything else
How many years away do you think exciting hockey is at this point? 3?

Bill any thoughts on how the last 10 days or so in the AHL have helped Frost? Will he assume his spot on the 4th line?

He is playing in the top 6 today, as a matter of fact.

It's obvious to me. Provorov has been beaten down by having to be the guy every night with no help. On a team that is dysfunctional in it's team and systems play. It's just been too much and I wouldn't blame him if he wants out. As a player who we know takes it personally and is intense, it's worn on him.

Man you got it spot on. He is playing huge minutes on a long club with Braun as his partner. Provy will thrive with another strong talent on his pairing but he will never be able to carry the top pairing. He just isn't that guy... Not yet anyway

Maybe his job isn't on the line.

I like RR. But if they are talking about trading provy and sanheim but keeping RR then I have more questions than answers going forward.
If they ship both provy and sanheim out then then doesn't that make RR the top pairing guy?

do you ever blame a player other than RR. ? When any other player isnt playing well, you blame Yeo, or Chuck. When its RR you blame the player. You talk like frost has earned to be the #1C on this team, and he hasnt shown anything. OR maybe its just hextall guys that you dont blame, its everyone elses fault.

Seeing a lot of chatter on Twitter about Provy being difficult and not a good teammate. Both team and player would be happy to part ways. Any truth to this? Can’t blame him for being unhappy with the state of things, but how you respond to adversity says a lot about a person. No denying he has not played well this year.

Yea, I’m not sure what to make of it. It’s hard to watch that hit and not think it’s dirty but at the same time Jake is trying to cut through two guys and is on an angle.
