I like reaves a lot but his on ice performance for what they brought him in for has been underwhelming. i thought Dorsett, carcillo did more than he has in the role thus far

Im a really big Reaves guy, but going into the season I didnt think he was gonna play every night

I’m also a big fan of his ,but the last game he played was Taylor made for him to change the momentum and he did nothing. I’m sure once he’s back in the line up he will step up .

The problem with the Reaves criticism is we don't know what goes on the ice. He could have challenged another player and we have no idea what happened. Would you fight Reaves?

Oh yeah, totally, and lets face it, the only reason he got those two games was because his last name was Staal.

Reaves is like the bouncer of the rangers. The bouncer at a bar isn’t going to pick fights with people. But he’s going to prevent poop from happening inside the bar, or on the ice in his case. Protect his fellow employees in a few ways and kick out some mo fos occasionally after punching them in the face

It’s a simple analogy lol but I think it makes it easier to understand as why they signed him. People just don’t get it 🤷🏻‍♂️ And personally, I’d take 3 years of that

At least someone gets it.

If this supposed rumor with the Ducks has any legs, Id love for them to grab Deslauriers in it.

I understand that and are more than happy with him for the most part and have no problem with his contact and term. The wild and blues had their way with the rangers and no one seem to step up and say stop running us over, sorry that’s his job

But if no one square up does it help the team as theyre struggling for him to take careless penalties chasing a fight?

Yup. And if I remember it was cause both his brothers were on that team at the same time.

Last thing I’ll say on this because I can’t stand some on here go on for days and weeks on the same thing. Both the wild and blues games were over early. Reaves doesn’t always need to fight. He needs to cause poop after the whistle, face washing head locks. That where he tells them stop running my guys or someone will pay. Who cares if he takes a penalty in the later parts of the game that they were never in It’s about him imposing himself on them .

I think things are going to start happening late this week for trades. I’m sure what prospects are traded by the rangers they can get back by taking players with money on them to free up space for other teams to make trades, as long as the teams are in the west

Drury better not delay per his urgent needs to fill in the Rangers lineup holes up front, on defense, & possibly as well in net with a capable backup to fill strictly a backup's role.

With one known available d'man in Josh Manson heading to the AVS now, as per word of Kevin Weekes in my prior post, the prices on available back liners just for one category, will especially increase as deadline day gets closer.

Among two other likely playoff teams, the Kings losing most recently two more regular d'men are very desperate for backline help, with word today of Drew Doughty placed on I.R., and possibly out the balance of the regular season. That along with RW, Dustin Brown also put on I.R. with a U.B.I. suffered in their 5-0 loss at San Jose on Saturday. Toronto is also desperate for defensive aid, due in part to Muzzin's injury status & his past concussion history.

In addition, Chychrun's injury suffered in Boston on Saturday will sideline him per latest current word between 2 to 4 weeks.

Boy, the Coyotes blew it big time having refused a Panthers offer for him back in early December, centered around goalie Knight and center Lundell heading of key to them in some package rumored then; which also included exchanges in an additional or two pieces heading both ways as well in picks & prospects.

Saw this last night. I’d do it as long as this pick isn’t our first.

I didn't see that yet being an official Rangers' offer, which Drury may now likely have to increase to acquire both in one trade; by also adding either a prospect(s) &/or draft pick(s), (pending those extras ranking levels).

That due in part to the news breaking today of the extended sidelining time periods for two d'men injured this past weekend, in both Chychrun being originally available in a deal, (but now out 2 to 4 weeks with a LBI), and the Kings losing Dustin Brown likely for the remainder of the regular season.

Toronto was one of a few others besides the Rangers who are interested in acquiring Hampus Lindholm, while the Leafs had also expressed interest of key in both him, and two other possibilities as options, in Manson (now off the table), and Giordano.
