UFA Klingberg or Lindholm at a fair price preferably 5yrs. Find the cap by ridding the contracts that must go.
- Nighthawk

In many scenario's I have just gone over in my head. The idea of adding the best UFA's out there always sounds good until you put them together and it ends up looking like a Jim Benning defence.

For lack of better wording, a "fun" and somewhat "interesting" little read about TDL day

That was cool 👍

I don't care who's wrong or right.

It just seems odd to me, that Kuzma would add that in there.

I don't know if he was alluding to something we don't know.

Maybe someone else has heard something other than wrist.

- manvanfan

I agree, never thought of Kuzma as a rumour monger type guy.

“If you are a wild card team I sure as hell don’t want to play Colorado in the first round, because it’s going to be a waste of eight days.” - Darryl Sutter.

Sutter knows the wildcard “race” is full of weak teams

Manson was a great pickup for the Avs and apparently Byram is back skating for them too so he might play again this year

- Nucker101

We can trade for Byram and put him on LTIR with Ferland . Cap space.

Didn’t Shorty and Garrett point out EP shaking his wrist on the bench during his last game?

Kuzma from what I know isn’t really a guy with inside info so he’s likely just guessing.

- Nucker101

Do the Canucks play the Kraken tonight. Is that why you are in here?

I was listening to the Lightning broadcasters.

That's what I thought too but the mention of the concussion seemed weird.
- manvanfan

Yeah I think the quote is pretty clearly referring to the wrist that derailed his season

Green was a bad coach and if other coaches had his teams, I'm sure they would have looked slightly better.

I think being forced to have players play up the line up is a league thing, not just exclusive to the Canucks. That's why you have the TDL to rectify that.

Who do you think is being forced to play outside their role on the Canucks right now? Other than Nils.

Lastly, I don't remember debating Klimovich making the team but that would have been a swift no.

And 2 of them are Lefty and Donna. What a sad state for hockey.

After the Flames, maybe Vegas, the Pacific is pretty weak. I am sure some teams in this division, might go all in just to secure 3rd and play the Kings.

Could you imagine how good this team would be, with Quinn, Marino, Klingberg and Rathbone?

No forwards necessary.😉

I hearya. I’m confident Lindholm would be a good fit but is LHD so necessitates Hughes or OEL to swap sides. Klingberg fits more seamlessly but his ask is more. Just ideas & like either if them. Yes D cap allocation gets big but idk hiw that can be avoided without any D other than maybe Bones likely to impact the team. Draft/develop is about 2-3yrs realistically thinking.

Yeah, agree. Flames are the class of the division but Vegas if healthy are up there just based on their offensive firepower. After that it’s a lot of mediocrity

VGK depth helps them but in goal nah. Getting old fast as well.

It is why several have been saying they will have to be trading at least 1 of the top forwards, it is the only way to realistically accomplish the retooling, no, rebuilding the defense.

Of the bigger contracts Boeser keeps coming to mind. Nothing to do with not liking him just the return & cap space could help the D. I look at NJD who have the C’s but need scoring wingers. NYI the same. Other teams could be in the running also. The get would be a good ELC & 1st+ hopefully.

I would think a New Jersey deal could turn out to be a good hockey trade.

Agree I tend to fixate on them as a prime trade partner. NYR also if don’t resign Strome but that is a stretch. Sens? Definitely LAK. Any others?
