No offence but GET OFF DRAFT LISTS FOR A WHILE! You got the (frank)en blinders on.
That conversation had ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with where teams drafted. It was purely about whether Myers would be a top 4 dman on every/any team in the league.
If you're gonna call out Ruby for always bringing things back to the cap, you need to get called out for always bringing things back to draft picks. Again drafts were as much a part of the convo as cap, which was zero, so no need to constantly inject that. - NewYorkNuck
You really went out of your way on this one eh.
No, the defensive side of the conversation did not have anything to do with where the teams drafted. It wasn't mentioned about a teams defence.
It was mentioned about those team's offence's scoring more than the Canucks. Those teams impressive offence's all have high draft picks which could be a cause of that success because generally higher draft picks produce better quality players.
The conversation about Myers being a top 4 D was pretty much over. I was moving the conversation elsewhere if it wanted to go that way. Since I had posted about those teams goals against being right around the Canucks. I just added in their impressive goals for, which goals for and goals against are connected in a way.
It was Nighthawk who I said to get off cap friendly because he told me that players were overpaid so why weren't as good as Myers. Even though the players are very much better than Myers. |

What team losses 12 times in a row to another team.
After being up 2-0 and NJ coming back, it wasn't exactly showing a lot of promise with NJ all over them |

Nah man, didn't go out of my way. I'm in Germany, so 9 hours ahead of most of you. That's where I picked up the conversation this morning.
And you replied to Reuby's list of teams, that was a response to Load's assertion that Myers is a top 4 D on any team. That's it. There wasn't any talk about offense. The whole thing centered around Myers being a top 4 D. And sure if you wanted to take it somewhere else, but it wasn't anywhere near the context of the discussion.
And the repurposed quote of yours I used was to point out the irony of you telling someone to get off their schtick, when your schtick is bringing things back to draft picks
Anyways, another Canucks win. One point behind Vegas, three behind Edmonton. Vegas is stumbling real hard, and Edmonton is in their "dead cat bounce" on their eventual way out of the playoff picture. First round matchup with the Kings is looking more legit. |

You know I took part in the conversation right? While you're just catching up.
I would take a first round match up vs the Kings. I said I would, I don't think the Kings are as good as their record but I don't think Canucks are catching Edmonton. Edmonton would likely need to go on one of their big losing streaks.
If the Canucks keep this up, they aren't trading Miller. |

I am not going to get to excited, it was the New Jersey Devils. Let's see how they make out in these next 3 games and see what transpires on Monday.
Canucks could very well be both buyer and seller. - Reubenkincade
I missed most/half the game (4-2 when I turned it on), but there were long stretches where the Canucks looked awful in their own end. Along with Miller “could have scored 10 tonight” Jack Hughes also could have had 10. Winning feels good, but they still have a lot of work to do to be a good team. |

Do the Canucks still have an identity problem?

Massive blown call by the officials in Abbotsford as a fourth skater stepped on the ice for Manitoba much before the change and he scored the overtime goal to win it.
Trent Cull & Gary Agnew are livid and the refs are are booed all the way off the ice.
Refereeing… am I right?
Bettman have any control over AHL reffing too? |

No, I think they are exactly the team I predicted they would be at the start of the year, it just took them a while to get there. Score lots, have trouble defending, get excellent goal tending most nights. |

Maybe... some votes for sure.
I think Bruce wins the Jack Adams if they make the play offs... I mean how much do people have to see... a team in the cellar until he takes over and then a incredible run into the playoffs... with how bad this team was under Green... hard not to give him the Adams if they make it... - boonerbuck
Very impressive Run under Boudreau with a Benning-built roster.
Solid Hockey men. |

Didn't Flames lose to ANA something like 14-18 times in a row??

Even after Bruce took over the scoring took a while.
Demko over the past 16 games is sporting a .911 2.87 GAA.
I sort of hope the new GM sells a piece or two. I'm kind of tired of the poor asset management this organization has had over the past 8 seasons. |

According to NHL records which didn't have the Canucks losing streak to Devils on there. Boston has beaten Arizona 18 straight times. |

His save % should have been higher (or lower) last night. Lots of pucks went wide! |

Demko is playing very well but also looking a bit tired.
Gotta pump those numbers up to over .920 and below 2.50 GAA.
Could see Motte or even Myers moving...not much else. |

I have a hard time believing the Myers moving rumours. He's not a UFA. He's got 2 more years. He's still the teams best RHD. Unless someone over pays right now. More of a summer move, when his NTC because a M-NTC. |
