I have a hard time believing the Myers moving rumours. He's not a UFA. He's got 2 more years. He's still the teams best RHD. Unless someone over pays right now. More of a summer move, when his NTC because a M-NTC.

I don't. Creating space for Miller.

Maybe he should have made the team out of camp Vintsy

We'd have lots of cap space...but not sure 4 lines of Gaunce type players would get us past the first round. Hard to say though...

That's a nice hit. I think one more year after this in Abby and he will be ready for 4th or maybe even 3rd line.

Sarcasm?

But you have to admit...Bo pulls the disappearing act for more than a few games...

- LordHumungous

Not comparing the two, but I've seen McDavid disappear fot a couple games at a time. Ovi is well known for taking nights off. Even the best players do.

I'm not sure how you think Klimovich and Gaunce are the same type of players.

I am not going to get to excited, it was the New Jersey Devils. Let's see how they make out in these next 3 games and see what transpires on Monday.

Canucks could very well be both buyer and seller.

Or could pull off a hockey trade that helps both teams

Yes.

I guess my definition of being a buyer and a seller is different than others.

As an example, if the Canucks were to sell Boeser to New Jersey and buy back Ryan Graves and Nathan Bastian, that is a hockey trade, where you are both selling Boeser for buying Graves and Bastian.
Or it could be selling Motte but acquiring a player like Lawson Crouse in 2 separate deals.

Again, these are just examples of what I think being a buyer and a seller is.

Funny, that’s exactly the guy I was thinking of, but I don’t think he’s riding shotgun with a ‘McDavid’.

I believe Bains is a player that has worked hard under Sutter and at minimum will be a solid player for Abbotsford, with a potential to be a decent 3rd line contributor.
Not a bad signing, now they need to get a couple free agent defensemen signed.

Closet NHL comparable I could say, would be Dryden Hunt. Similar size and avg skater from what I remember in junior. Later break out scorer.

For free why not. Might be 5 years before he takes a regular spot but whatever.

Going through Red Deer twitter.

Benjamin King a right shot center for the Rebels. Seems to have really good chemistry with Bains.

King is a BC product, Vernon. 2002 birthday so would need to pass through the draft this season but to be a free agent(I believe). A year younger but on the same pace as Bains in scoring.

I think at this point now we need to trust in Rutherford and Allvin to 'follow the science' of team building. Big things ahead bro...big.
