this is wild.

Keeefe gets 0
but blashill and Ruff get votes

same "reverse media bias" that effects things like suspensions and fines.

1) Toronto can't possibly have a good coach
2) Toronto player crosschecks opposition - gets suspension - other team's player does same similar gets fine (multiple cases)
3) Toronto's CAP situation is much worse than ANY other team (ps - its not)

yadda yadda yadda...

and then we have to deal with the garbage the spews from the mouths and minds of people like Howard "Troll" Berger

I can see it from here.

"While Auston Matthews did score more goals, we feel that Patrick Laine, an actual pure sniper, deserved it more".

it will be the same crap with Bunting and the Calder - which I don't think he should win personally - I'd vote for Seider(DET) all day long...

but the nonsense about people complaining that Bunting shouldn't win "Cause he's too old" is just that - nonsense.

they only make that case because he plays in Toronto...

no one was complaining about Alfredson winning it years ago

N'ah Mrazek's gear is amazing looking (unlike his play) but I'm a sucker for the retro look. The Kid's mask is really nice, his pads are his same pads just with green vs blue. I think I liked Garret Spark's St. Pats set the best of all the Leaf goalie ones I've seen.

Honestly? Mask is ok but the brown gear looks kinda… blah. Not a fan of that. Kids looks sharp and love the Warwick Davies leprechaun. Just preference Id say but for me the kid has the more striking clean and sharp look.

Brown gear

Kids gear is just a slight tweak on what he has already - if I was a pro and had the options these guys do and didn't have to pay for gear I'd have done his set reversed with a green base and white graphics!

See if it was old gear great but new trying to look old? Meh. Doesnt look right to me.

I’d agree though on the reverse and more green though if jersey is green its gonna look like a swollen bean out there.

Don’t know if you knew Kennesky’s goalie store in Hamilton - “Pop” Kennesky was pretty much the inventor of goalie pads. If you knew the store you would have known Joel who owned and ran it for years. He also ran goalie camps in the summer. My kid bought all his gear there and went to the camps. He texted me yesterday and told me that Joel passed away (pretty young at least by my standards). Joel was a great guy and we would spend hours in there. He actually helped my kid focus in getting a university education because business seemed cool as he made the connection between the store and business. He was very tight with Ray Emery who was in the store and at the camps.

Anyway, if you don’t know the place or Joel, this doesn’t mean much. But if he was a great hockey and goalie guy.

I didn't know Joel personally and was never fortunate enough to get to Kenesky's in Hamilton but I did learn of the sad news from Mike Howard's Facebook post.

I do know the Kenesky gear well, both my 2 tribute sets of gear (Fuhr and Wregget) are Kenesky as is my Chest protector and they make the best gear I have ever owned easily and I;ve tried alot of gear over the years.

Can't say enough positive things about the quality, craftsmanship and performance of Kenesky gear.
