Sounds like the Panthers are going hard after Claude Giroux, who’s playing his 1000th game tonight for the Flyers. Owen Tippett expected to be going the other way. Is he any good?
- LeftCoaster

If you were a big Jake Virtanen supporter you will think Tippett is good.

Watching morning skate, Pettersson looked tentative passing pucks and didn't take face-offs. You have to wonder about that wrist causing some discomfort. #Canucks

Linus Karlsson scores!

3 goals from beating Petey's rookie scoring record.

So another future 3rd line center?

Like Holtby and Schmidt, good locker room guys.
- 1970vintage

Their impact is still being felt. Especially Holtby's.

Sit him out and trade during the summer. Imagine relying on a guy who could suck anytime his wrist gets slashed.

From all the highlights I've seen this year. Starting to remind me quite a bit of Tanner Pearson.

Can’t rely on a guy who’s always one slash to his wrist away from being out/ineffective

If the refs cracked down on the slashing calls, wouldn't be in this situation.

Is there not a "Freedom" thread for you whiners and wingnuts?

It wouldn't be a game day without a giant 10 page argument erupting about Covid, or politics, or both.

Today's looking like a both day.

Yes, we should only ice those who have wrists of steel.

I’m a playoff series, I’d gladly take that 2 minute minor penalty. Worth the trade off if it makes him useless again.

Or you know, something in between, like regular wrists that aren’t made out of glass.

I'm just super excited about Troy Stetcher's homecoming. The video tribute is going to be pretty emotional.

You might have to take 10 of them a game to get it right. I have a feeling, you aren't winning that game. Team can win without him. So you got into game 4 with Petey back down 2-1. Take another 10 penalties. Lose again down 3-1. Maybe win another but lose the series 4-2 or 4-1 if Demko decides to steal one.

Good article in the Athletic about J.T. Millers career to date. Missed curfew in Vancouver while playing for the Rangers, they sent him home on a commercial flight and sent him down to the AHL.

This is the candid story of Miller's rollercoaster NHL career

"I was young and dumb": AHL demotions, trades, and the inside story of how J.T. Miller finally became a star:

Don’t think it would take 10 tries. Maybe 2 or 3 healthy whacks, plus no guarantee all 3 even get called because refs in the playoffs put blinders on at times.

So exactly how does this dumbest poster contest work? Is there a vote at the end of the season or a playoff round or what?

So zero concern over EP’s wrist? It’s been a year now and it’s clearly still not right. Definition of a long-term and recurring injury. Not an easy one to play through either, or an easy one to train with during the off-season.

Nothing to see here I guess.

Good article I read the other day. PK's go up in the playoffs.

I'm sure Petey has been whacked more than 2 or 3 times in the past 59 games.

I’m sure he has too, but not with intent in mind. Teams do dirty poop to win in the playoffs. That’s why we have this “upper/lower body injury nonsense.

Van media can't shut their mouths though and have to dig until the entire league knows what's wrong.
