So still nobody? Clearly a trade down and Chychrun was ideal, could have gained a 2nd to select another player. The guy dropped inexplicably due to injury. Was in the conversation for 1st overall months prior. - golfingsince
I went through about 40 pages of blogs around the draft. I seen no mention of anyone but Tkachuk, Dubois, or Sergachev. One mention of Brown.
There was not a lot of prospect talk back in those days on the blogs.
Reading the old book, April 1st I wanted Chychrun and again on June 1st Chychrun was the guy I wanted. I also wanted Brandon Hagel in the 4th round. Don't remember wanting him.
No one was written down except for mine.

Nedeljokovic, what with the 2nd worst save percentage since Jan 1st I posted the other day. Tonight he looks like Vasey. |

This is all 4 games I've seen Detroit play this year. Just chaos. Trading chances left and right. Detroit scores, you never know how because everything is so broken. |

I was pretty clear, as was thundachunk, not at the position we were selecting at.
Iirc, I wanted Glass, but also liked Necas. |

Yes, a positive LAK health update:
"Is this the night we see Alex Edler?"
"A very good chance, yes"
Edler is back. |

You were in the book for Vilardi>Glass>Necas>Rasmussen for centers you liked.

Pretty sure it was Glass Necas Vilardi Rasmuseen, but no biggie. I would still take Necas with that pick. |

Vilardi, who I doubt is available, Glass, then Necas. After that the Centre I like is a player no one here seems to want, Rasmussen.
That is your quote.
I remember liking Vilardi too. Petey was still my guy according to my book. I really thought Canucks were taking Glass.
I remember in the 2nd round you wanted Nic Hague over the guy I wanted Kole Lind. Who we should have picked was Jason Robertson. |

That Lucas Raymond has some slick mitts, great puck handler. Seider looks like a right shot Hedman. |

So the dreaded trade down & pass on Petey? |

Why does Boudreau reward Boeser with icetime. The guy is invisible most nights.
Always been the downside of his coaching style, all offense no defense. I guess that's why he has done sfa in playoffs. |

He had really good stats that year too. I remember he fell the same way Arthur Kaliyev did.
Reports for both were the same. Insane scoring talent, doesn't give two poops about playing defence. |

Seider is the best young defenseman in the game, after Makar. |
