Is it too much to ask that the Canucks should have a real orca whale swimming underneath the ice at Rogers Arena??

They were the worst team in the league, it couldn’t get worse. Canucks are fighting for a playoff spot. Different situation. - 1970vintage
Fair point.
A much better example would be Anaheim, they only just brought Verbeek in back in February, very similar position in standings as the Canucks. |

Rutherford has been here for months, Granato lives in Vancouver, they should have some 8deas on who needs to go. - Reubenkincade

Well the out of town scoreboard was about as bad as it could be. Only the Preds failing to collect points.
Who’s up next, flames on Sat, Sabres on Sunday, trade deadline Monday? |

The process - VANTEL
F uck the process, get rid of Brock and get some forwards that hit and at least 1 defenseman.
@Nighthawk
Yes I know the Canucks are like 16th in hits, but getting hit by a 180 lb flywjeight and a 215 lb heavyweight are not the same. |

Sure, I mean Anaheim is technically still in it but they know they aren’t really. Wouldn’t be surprised to see a couple more Ducks land on new ponds over the weekend. |

14th but yes but not plugs or slugs. I prefer another play driver that plays 200’. That is after a #2-3D. |

4 foam bricks for Hughes, 1 each for Myers and Pouty. - Reubenkincade
OEL was pretty bad, Miller was disinterested, at least I thought so over Hughes, Myers or Pouty, Boeser had terrible stick luck.
I want to believe but games like tonight pretty much seal the deal, trades after the Calgary game on Sat.

I don't know what you consider plugs, but I would be happy to have a player or 2 like Crouse, Bastian,Erickson-Ek, Trenin, Greenway or Jeannot. |

Wade Allison on the Flyers is injury prone but has that potential to be a powerforward who can pot 10-15 goals. I’d offer Lockwood and see if they bite. |

This game could easily have been 8-7, which is just as bad as 1-0 to me. Lots of sloppy play. But it was fun to watch. |

How long did it take Habs and new management to make some changes in on ice personnel? - Reubenkincade
Slightly different as they’re not in the thick of a playoff race, they’re last in the league. |

Didn’t like EP’s effort on the lone goal at all. Hughes also sucks at defending odd man rushes |

Ya, I agree, OEL hasn't been that good for about 6 games now. Miller gets the benefit of the doubt as he has been incredible for several weeks now.
It was game for players like Boeser and Garland to step-up and they failed miserably.
Boudreau in post game interview talked about 25 giveaways in the 1st period, I seen at least 5 from Hughes. He was bad tonight.
I had higher expectations from Quinn after the last game, which is the best I have seen him play, at both ends, today he reminded me why I strongly dislike him, he is a PP specialist. |

The team needs two top four defencemen in the worst way. |

And a 3rd center. And a winger with some size in the top 6.
Not easy to fix these weaknesses |

Poorly constructed team, if Miller, Pettersson and Demko aren’t saving the day they aren’t competitive. |

Yup, we have Myers and OEL, a PP specialist, 2 more top 4 defensemen and this team should be alright on defense. |

You’re still attached to the EP before the injuries. This team has been carried by Demko and Miller |

Anaheim traded one upcoming UFA, I fully expect the Canucks to make the same move with a pending UFA or two. |
