Nice start to the silly season for Drury. Solid move , with very little downside. I wanted nothing to do with Chiarot, so Florida taking him with the cap space we helped to give them is an added bonus!
Really cool how with all of the speculation of who we might get, NOBODY had us getting Vatrano! - TommyGTrain
We did, however, all believe they might use the space to their advantage, which they did. Makes you wonder if theres anyone else looking for a move we can fleece.
When I read Friedman's 32, I immediately assumed RW on the second line. I'm not sure when Kakko will be back this season or if he'll be effective after such a long layoff. Radulov is usually around the net and both Panarin and Strome would benefit from that play 5 v 5

well luckily they have bunch of games vs teams like the Sabres, Red Wings and Devils after deadline, so they can try this out if they do acquire him
and if he's got nothin, he gets bounced, really as long as they give up nothing for him it doesn't hurt
Drury seems to be bargain shopping not home run shopping
Action around Boston College forward Jack McBain is heating up. His playing rights will be traded by the @mnwild to a club he’s willing to sign with. Multiple teams eager to acquire the 22 year old. A 2nd round pick has been the ask. Maybe more now?

I just dont understand how this kid can be so sought after (Im sure the Rangers are kicking tires too). Yet Barron, whos had a much better/consistent college career can barely get a shift.

Thanks for noting my error there, Rick, (which I corrected), with Drew Doughty obviously being the d'man of the two, and the Kings second lost recently long term due to injury. Despite initially mentioning this correctly on Monday (6:58pm - pg. 8 of the "Rangers Win Over the Stars" blog), I simply in a rush heading out, mistakenly posted "Brown"; since he just being injured at S.J. on Saturday, was also placed on I.R. with Doughty simultaneously a few days ago.
The Kings now have 6 defensemen sidelined overall from short to long term. That led to additional minor league recalls plus reserves being in the lineup against the Avs on Tuesday. Yet they held the highly offensively powered Avs to just 3 goals in that 3-0 home loss, & still remain in 2nd in the Pacific with 74 points in trailing only the Flames by 7. That's because the Kings win games primarily with their defense, including defense received from their forwards. But their mounting backline injuries only increases higher the trade cost for any team needing to acquire backline help by the deadline. - RangerSaver
Damn! I'd hate to see what you might spew out if you had the time to expound!!
