I think its an overpay as are many deals made by SJ. Sharks will be paying for 5 years after this one on the Jones buyout. Leblanc is close to $5M, Couture will make $8M till he's 36, Burns $8M until he's 39 and Karlsson (who is not aging well) $11.5M until age 36. Old team with alot tied up in players that are well past their primes.

Yeah I went and looked and those 3 dmen are making a lot for a long time. Vlasic, Karlsson and burns are all 30+ and signed for a long time.

I think the reports are Cleveland will keep Ramirez for now and then look to move him at the deadline.

Thats fine by me. Even without the left bat I like the Jays a lot this year. Really fixed the rotation.

Like I said earlier in the week, there was so much hype around the Jays and certain players that it felt like none of them would occur. So the Chapman deal was a nice get.
I think the Jays go bargain bin shopping for a lefty, a pen arm and a fielder.

Cant wait for the season to start and to go see a game.

And now Hertl (good player) is most likely overpaid.

We might see Vlasic moved in a salary dump to the Kraken or another team with picks being included for compesation. It's a really bad deal.

I'll take your word on that. I dont know the depths of the Jays at all.

I did like hearing they were in on a lot of guys this year though. They nabbed 2 pitchers and Chapman. I like it.
