Sorokin has been lights out of late I thinks he's fine acclimated to the league and has adapted - Upstate_isles
He's been very composed, plus they're doing a much better job of clearing rebounds over the past month or so |

He makes some ridiculous saves - Upstate_isles
He's got just about the fastest lateral movement I've ever seen in the NHL. Some goalies with those incredible reaction skills can take longer to develop because they are so accustomed to relying on their skill over technique. Korn has done a great job in honing his game from a Euro mindset to an NHL one.
What a save there
*edit, it was Chara but Ilya was there |

Again he's unreal - Upstate_isles

Really would have liked Pelech to give Koneckny a shove out of the crease just before that goal. It drives me nuts how often our dmen allow forwards to get their asses right up against our goalies.
We look like trash right now |

Think Varly has too honestly. Both we’re letting in a soft goal a game which they haven’t done lately. The team has also played better in front of them as well. |

Tough year for Varly. Coming off what I think was an underplayed injury, then the cluster that was our covid chaos early on, then he gets covid. He just really never got a good chance to get on track and was trying to get up to speed at a time when much of the league was at full steam.
I really expect this team to come out of the gates with a vengeance next season |

Agreed on Varly. To be honest these were the whole teams reason to never really get up to speed this year.
I do believe in the O and D core on this team and agree next year they will be ready and want to make a statement. As you said come out of the gate with a vengeance. |

They have played a lot of hockey recently.
That said they need to come out and make a push in the 3rd and take this game. |
