The big scorer in junior hockey is working to translate those skills to the NHL. He has a hard, heavy and accurate shot, and the mentality of a sniper. He will shoot from almost anywhere and needs to improve his passing skills to keep opponents honest. He also needs to work on his play in the defensive zone and away from the puck to maximize his overall value.

I think it’s what kept him in the lineup until his recent AHL assignment, as he has struggled to score in NHL, but that shot is deadly. He was playing 2nd line last year and in the playoffs. New additions Reinhart and Lundell, plus Marchment really emerging this year, have simply pushed him down the lineup.
