Good goalie play and good D happens. TB for instance. Not mutually exclusive. I looked it up and they’ve given up the 11th fewest shots on goal. It’s safe to say they are the 11th best defensive team in the league. One could argue that after the top 8 all the other team defenses suck. I’ve seen solid defensive play from the Preds when I’ve watched. Last night they laid an egg. We’ll have to just disagree.

This! I live in Nashville and watch the preds regularly (since I can't cheer for the flyers) and they have always had a solid D corp. If anything that is their specialty. Last night was an off night for them and the flyers pushed hard to make that happen. That's the first time I can recall that the flyers paid a price to crash the net. It was a solid showing of respect for Giroux but it pisses me off that they don't always play with the same heart that they showed last night. If the preds can catch fire and Jusse keeps playing this way then they really have a high ceiling and could be w potential dark horse with a key addition or two up front.

See i don't know. I would like to see him and Ellis together like when he had Niskanen. PLus if you did move him your right back to needing a top pair guy unless you think sanheim could slide up.

Sanheim's been playing better than Provorov almost all season. You could make the case that he's already better than Provorov, period.

Sanheim isn't #1 dman material, but neither is Provorov apparently. And if Provorov's fortunes will be permanently tied to Ryan Ellis being healthy, then might as well just cut your losses now while he's still worth something.

I know Brandon Hagel is 23 years old and has 21 goals this year, but Tampa just traded 2 1st round picks and 2 prospects to get him. That price seems really steep to me. given this trade and the Chiarot trade, Fletcher must hold out G until he gets something comparable.

Clarke said last night Sanheim did play PP in juniors and should be given the chance to play PP on the Flyers. Of course he has to earn his PP time according to Clarke, but on this team that shouldn't be too hard. Not sure why Yeo just doesn't put he and Risto out there already, can the PP be much worse than 14/%?

They are going to get a reasonable prospect like Tippet..maybe a B prospect and a 2nd rd pick....little Fletcher can do about it. If G said its Florida or Colorado and neither really need him the return will be modest. Fletcher has no choice but to take the best deal available from a team G has agreed to go to even if that deal is modest at best
