He's got a lot of finish in his game. Three times I got to watch NE play this year. He's not a play driver, he's got no real play making, isn't defensively above average.

He is sort of a passenger who finds pucks and can easily put them past a goalie.

Great skill to have, scoring is hard. He improved his skating. Just would be nice if he would have added another skill to his game over the past couple years.

7th rounder, what am I really expecting from a long shot but still always felt a bit disappointed after watching him play.

He did play quite well though even without a very good center all season.

Read somewhere that he could be a Motte replacement.

That was a disappointing loss! The powerplay was the biggest letdown. They just couldn't get the passes through for the set ups or shots through. They had 3 golden opportunities on the PP and plenty of time 6-on-5. The lack of results at this time of the year are what will cost them a chance in the playoffs.

If we lose on Saturday, it's definitely time to look at trading Garland and Motte. I'm not sold on trading Myers for only cap space, but if there are some assets coming back, I'm open to it. Obviously, if anyone will take Chaisson, Richardinson or Poolman, I'd even be willing to throw in Mason Raymond as a sweetener.

The time is to still believe. As disappointing as being shutout by a bottom-feeding DET club Boudreau's record with the Nucks speaks for itself. Make a run for the WC and if you miss by a few points so be it. A full year under Boudreau will provide excellent results IMO. Not saying we should be full buyers but stay the course and good things will happen.
