I’ve never said that, in fact I’ve said he wasn’t allowed to rebuild. I said he did a good job acquiring young talent through the draft from less than stellar draft positions.
Again it boils down to no patience from upper management, Dave Scott wouldn’t allow a rebuild, he was and is of the mantra that the fans of Philadelphia deserve a competitive team so he would only allow a re-tool and why he wanted to foolishly spend money on players like JVR and Kevin Hayes. - LeftCoaster
Foolish spending is what gets NHL Gm's in trouble. Florida model was to let all bad money go and sign cheap guys. |

Culture…it’s an issue within the makeup of the team #Bomustgo - LeftCoaster
Agree, there's a culture issue.

Benning was by far the worst, period, General Manager the Canucks have ever had. - LeftCoaster
He got a raw deal because of the floods.

Yup. I don't know what the problem is, only something hasn't been right.
I look at the deal the Seahawks made albeit a different sport, they got rid of a talented problem and got a decent return.
Hopefully Rutherford can fix this team sooner than later.

It isn't even close. Bad contracts no prospects and lost for almost 8 straight years. Pretty incredible anyone can defend him. There is a handful of good players that's literally it not to mention the culture seemed to be a laughing stock with players not wanting to come here. Terrible GM..... and stuff |

Bo and Miller were doing a press conference together, after last night's game, neither were impressed with the effort recently. I don't think they were to happy with teammates, neither was Bruce, for that matter.
This team appears to put the effort in, when playing in non-physical games, but appear to run scared when playing bigger, more physical teams.
Just my opinion anyways. |

I don't follow Football the same way as I do hockey even though I'm a Bronco's fan. I don't understand the game the same way.
It seemed like a lot to give up for older QB on the decline. Articles gave Bronco's a good grade and Seattle a not so good grade.
With Canucks cap space, to fill holes they are going to need some cap space or at least it's got to be some cap relocation to different parts. |

Wilson became bigger than the team, demanded more. That's when you need to part ways. At the end he was affecting the culture.

28 hours remaining - Reubenkincade
19 games remain. Team at 67 points needs 28 points to get to 95 to have a shot?
14-5 it can be done. Just have Miller take over the room and Demko to not be sleepy like last night.
lol |

Let's not kid ourselves if Demko, Miller and/or Bo don't have strong games, this team goes nowhere.
The other players, other than the Lamikko line are passengers.
Unacceptable, IMO. |

You've convinced me, trade Miller.
Players like Wilson knowing they are getting near the end of their careers, want to win and sometimes teams aren't in the situation to win. Miss on a draft pick or two and then timelines don't match up.
Somebody mentioned once how Tanev was quiet but what he would do was stir the pot and get guys are riled up and just sit back and watch.
Maybe that's what is missing less of a leader and more of someone who ignites it first off. |

No one on that team, and I mean NO ONE should be labelled untouchable. Saying that makes you look as smart as Lord H and he is rock stupid. - Marwood

True much like Kesler used to be we roll with Miller and if he is off the team struggles. Bo is what he is I expected another disappearing act and here we are. Hopefully he shows up tonight. I'm sure Pettersson will get cross checked in the back again and the club will just watch. Very frustrating watching how soft this team is and you wanna talk culture that goes through the room. Boudreau talked yesterday post-game he said he has never been with a club that has these first period slow starts and lapses. Demko included. He's overworked as those two short side blocker goals showed last night. Guy is great and all but needs a rest like most starters. How do you fix the first period slow starts? I'm sure Boudreau would like an answer lol |

Obviously I don't know what the answer is, hopefully they do?
No player should be untouchable once he becomes a distraction, if it's Miller, Bo, QH, EP it doesn't matter, if there's an opportunity to eleviate that problem, do it.

I would think having some physical players would help remedy that problem. When the team looks flat, you play the heck out of the physical guys for the 1st period.
If that doesn't fire up the team, then the players need to change.
When Tyler Motte is your most physical player, you have problems.
This isn't a knock on Motte, as the guy brings it, in 95% of the games, it is more a knock on the team structure. It is a poorly built hockey team. |

The NFL is a QB driven league the last number of years. Without an elite QB, your team isn't going far. While Wilson may not be what he once was, he's still a top 7 or so QB in the league... and that is/was behind a bad OL in a conservative scheme. The Broncos haven't had a good QB for years, but have a good team outside of that.
They gave up a lot, but a franchise QB is the hardest thing to find in football. There's nothing really comparable in hockey. |

Whatever the problem is. Is maturity the problem for a lot of these guys.
Quite a few young guys. Miller only 28. Lots of these guys just becoming father's. Having young children and being away is a lot to deal with at a younger age. |
