Kings are not willing to give up their first round pick this season for Garland or Boeser.

Would rather the Canucks get a prospect/young player back anyways. Mid to late draft picks are going to take too long to have an impact. LA has a good farm... Turcotte seems like an ideal player to get back, Faber and Grans are both (apparently) good RHD in their system

That great farm system that is having trouble producing in the NHL.

That Grans kid LA has used to be a forward that converted to defense as a 15 year old.

He has 2PIM in 46 AHL games as a dman

Braden Schneider has no PIM in 24 games. Ryan Pulock has 2 in 33 games.

Schneider has 10 in 48 pro games this year at least. Also not a converted forward with questionable defense.

Grans had 0 PIM in 43 games back in Sweden last year too, safe to say he’s soft as melted butter.

I'd rather they trade for a player with high pedigree that has a few years post-draft they can see, rather than a mid-to-late draft pick in a week draft that might not even step foot in the NHL.

Myers and OEL are also tougher than Schenn. They have more penalty minutes. Facts.

Missing my point.

A guy with 2 PIM in his last 90 games is probably not that tough to play against unless he’s a rarity like Tanev/Pulock

It’s like saying a guy with 1 goal this year probably sucks at scoring.

Not that Brandon Hagel is a better scorer than Sidney Crosby

IMO, if they're trying to do a quick reset on the team, shipping roster players out for picks that won't play for another 3-4 years isn't going to help that reset. If they're doing a full rebuild, sure, picks and young players. Otherwise, picks won't help when their window with Petey/Hughes/Bo/Demko is fully open.

I think Joe Thornton had 12 points his first year. Never judge a big center too early.

Got it. Interference, high sticking, tripping, holding. That's all got to do with being tough and not sucking at hockey.

I thought you were following the Florida model? That's not what they did.

Petey/Hughes/Bo/Demko window isn't opening for at least 2 years.
