Your car needs four tires and you have one and fairly valuable asset. You can trade that asset but the best deal you can make for it is a second tire that might fit your car and a coupon for money off of a third but the coupon isn't valid until 2 years from now.

Is that better than having one tire? Sure. Can you drive anywhere after making that trade? Nope. So does it matter?

Best part of the trade is that G gets a chance to win a cup. I am rooting for that. A little surprised that Bunnaman is included; at age 23, the Flyers “development” was doing him no favors so I hope this is a second chance for him. It stinks that Florida traded the 2023 1st for Chiarot, but that isn’t Fletcher’s fault. However, the Flyers need to stop trading away draft picks because they need them and stink at obtaining more.

Hang on. I’m not saying Giroux is coming back but what exactly was Shane Doan being offered the Arizona? Sometimes moving just sucks. I don’t know where G’s wife is from but if she’s a Philly girl, why wouldn’t they move back? I was surprised to hear John LeClair stayed local along time before being cut loose.

He's learning to play the right way and needs more AHL time. Unless of course there is an injury than he'll be called up to play on the top pair.
