Sure it falls on the Giroux camp but what do they care. He will be a UFA in couple months and can go where he wants to go. Honestly I dont think Giroux cares if he gets traded or not. His preference all along seems to have been to finish the year with the Flyers then go UFA if they dont want him back. .

I don't know if this is even feasible but here is one approach Fletcher can take to get the assets he needs to do a retool here. First trade G to Colorado for their 2023 1st round pick, Justin Baron and Martin Kaut. Finish this season with a top 5 draft pick and pick the best player you can that you think has the top end ability. Then at draft day trade TK or Provorov and that 2023 1st round pick and get up into the top 10 for another top offensive player that they are targeting. Now you go into next season with 4 really good prospects plus your own prospects and see what you got. Just a thought ...

According to TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun, the Flyers continue to "grind away" on a trade for star forward . LeBrun notes that there was some progress made on Friday, but they are still not where they need to be in order to get a deal done with a team.

It’s 50/50. Chuck can easily say give us something to work with or you go back to Philly for the remainder of the season and deal with the circus that will surely be waiting for you. At 34 there’s no way G’s agent lets it get to that.

It’s a poopty situation all around but I really don’t know what G’s camp expected to happen. It’s a three month rental not a 5 year commitment. Give the Flyers something to work with ffs.
