I think they bring him in as soon as college is over, give him the 2C spot next to Crouse. Let him show off his stuff and hope to get an increased ROI.

McBain played his last college game over 2 weeks ago when BC got eliminated from the Hockey East tournament. I don't know how many credits he has as a senior, but I doubt he would delay the start of his pro career until the 3rd week of May when BC has their graduation.

He has to want to play there no? Why he got traded in the first place

I think rangers getting him. Maybe nothing to with Chychrun, but just a hunch 🤷🏻‍♂️Because we don’t have a second rder

Georgiev's 44 save shutout of the Canes is just 1 save less than the Rangers all time record for most saves in at least that of a shutout victory.
(That all time record dating back of course to the days of TIES recorded as game results for 1 Point earned each team, prior to regular season OT coming into play.)

The Rangers all time leader with the 45 Save Shutout Victory is none other than their all time best goalie (for now still) in KING HENRIK in Jan, 2010.

Both Lorne ("Gump") Worsley & "The Beezer" in John Vanbiesbrouck have also had a minimum of 40 Saves like Georgiev in a Rangers shutout victory.

I'm uncertain for now until researched further as to whether any Rangers scoreless tie games of the TIE era featured a Ranger goalie making 45 Saves or greater with his shutout tie.

He gave MIN an ultimatum for his play and minutes. First off, he wants to play right now. Which would burn a year off his ELC. Guerin said he'd give him time on the 4th line, but that wasnt good enough so he held out. MIN fans said he supposedly wants to be in the top 6. The kid ultimately holds all the cards because he becomes a UFA in the summer if he doesnt sign with anyone.

MIN wanted the 2nd round pick. ARI might have a player in mind they want from a team interested in McBain but not willing to deal a 2nd round pick for him.

That's most accurate for another way of stating "he stole 2 points for them tonight," in being the one who showed up from the start, and performed at his best totally throughout his shutout.

I got ya. I really didn’t pay much attention to him or reasons why he available, just thought Arizona was an odd place for a guy demanding things. Not realizing he wanted ice time over everything. Makes sense now

Could be a third pair blueliner. Big, needs to improve skating, some offensive talent.

He is a bit older (almost age 23) than most prospects and apparently he has to do some serious improvement on his skating.

Should Vancouver lose at home to Buffalo tonight, in thus far trailing 1-0 after the 1st, do they become an official seller immediately after the game, with exception of dealing Miller, Pettersson, Hughes, Demko, and possibly Horvat?

Tyler Motte at Center would be a low cost Rangers option as a rental with his expiring $1.225M cap hit.

The player I saw the most from these past 2 games aside from the goalies was Miller. He wasn’t afraid to use the offensive side of his game, was much more physical than we’ve seen and looked good defensively. Give this kid another year or 2 and he’s going to be a top dman in this league for a long time.
