Confirming #LeafsForever are sending two 2nd round picks and a 3rd round pick #SeaKraken in exchange for Mark Giordano and Colin Blackwell.

#SeaKraken retains 50% on Giordano, whose preference was to go home to play for TOR.

The two teams that were supposedly in on Tyler Motte have now traded for Hagel and Blackwell instead.

I still like the move. Dermott isn't nearly as bad as you're making him out to be. Hamonic needed to be moved. He was at a decent gain. End of story.

I don't see the Canucks D being worse. The quality of player they brought in is probably equal to the one they sent out but different. For 1.5M less. It just doesn't solve the Canucks actual defensive problem.

I said I add about 800K to every contract I see now a days, so that would somewhat align with the 1.6 I would prefer to pay him.

Nucker said 3M for 3rd liners are the going rate now though so 2.2 I guess isn't bad for a 4th liner.

I’d say Schenn is untouchable. I’d rather have him on the team next year than having an extra 5th round pick or whatever. I guess if it was a pick in the top 50 you’d have to consider it, but he’s more valuable next year than that.

Burroughs is 26 and has 41 NHL games under his belt. Poolman was overpaid by Benning. Of the 3 I'll happily take Dermott at 1.5.

I would have left Burroughs to play the year or Poolman . Keep the three mil cap and the draft pick.
