Per NHL source, the Coyotes have traded goalie Scott Wedgewood to the Dallas Stars for a fourth-round pick in 2023.
This one surprises me. I know that preliminary talks had begun on extending Wedgewood.

Gallant likes that too. Just in case NYR switches gears and offers Lafreniere+ for Boeser.

Boeser isn't worth that, but who knows what other teams think.

By tomorrow if should be another teams problem.
- Reubenkincade

Do you think he would be playing if there was something concrete? I mean it could be but unusual strategy if true.

By trading Hamonic for Dermott? Yeah right. Give it a rest.

Just because you don't like it does not mean it is wrong .

Maybe the fact that the deal makes complete sense is confusing you?

Hope yer right. I like him but he doesn’t fit in here. Needs a fresh start & we need the assets back.

So far Laf in his NHL career hasn’t proven that he can get more than 25 points in a full season. At this point, believe it or not... Boeser is better.

And?

Linden gave up the C for Messier

Sutter gave up 21 for Eriksson

What is so special about 2022 draft that nobody seems to write about?

No offence but it didn't make a whole ton of sense to me either.

How does spending 1.5 mil and giving up a third round pick for a player that they already have 4 of make sense? Do you think wasting all that for a player that won't make us better is worth it?

Christ Juulsen is doing that job that Dermott would do for half the price.

I don't think there is anything concrete. I also don't believe he gets traded to a playoff team. Some teams are desperate for some offense and their better players are getting restless about losing.
I really wouldn't be surprised if Ottawa, Islanders or even Buffalo have some interest in him.
These are teams they can still trade with after the deadline and not have to worry about him being available for the playoff run.

Jeremy Lauzon, traded to NSH, is a depth defensive defenceman with a poor penalty impact. #Preds

Sutter gave it up based on seniority in the league. Pretty sure OEL is senior to Dermott

I watch them on Center ice from time to time. He seems to have good puck control and good awareness... but it’s like he’s got no confidence. Reminds me of Huburdeau in the first few years of his career before he broke out.

Laf has been mostly 3LW behind Panarin & Kreider without a decent C. Doing better on RW since Kaako got injured.

Ask yourself did the Canucks improve today ? If you think Dermott is a part of the puzzle that changes this team well have at it.

You wanted cap space to improve and in no way is Dermott that guy . You also took away cap to get that actual improvement and you gave up a draft pick. That is very Benning like.

Kelly Hrudey spoke pretty highly of him yesterday.

I know it is Hrudey, but he watches and played the game, which is more than us idiots on here.
