Rakell to NYR rumours
- Nucker101

Too big of female doges to pay the price for Miller so they get players that won't move the needle much. Braun, Rakell. They aren't a top team, they shouldn't be shoring up. It's a waste.

I thought Boeser might have been traded. Would you as fans do Boeser for Cyhchrun? In some sort of deal? Does it make any sense?

Hopefully, they have a bidding war for Motte.
The deadline is missing a blockbuster, one is coming, hopefully the Canucks are in the mix. If not the draft will be fun.
It will take time to disband Benning's clusterfuck.

- Marwood

I just hope it doesn't take another 7.5 years to clear up this mess. A good GM should get it done in about 2 years.

Two years is reasonable.

Less than 2 hours to go.

So what do you propose they do then?
Sell?
Buy?
Hold pat?
Bring back Benning?
I'm not following what you think the direction for the team should be? Do you think they are good enough as is?
Help a so called Slurper out here.
Edit Sorry just read the not directed at me...

It is pretty simple . The Hamonic deal was good. Cap space, they got their draft pick that everyone cherishes. Leave it at that. In the summer select a Dman with the third round pick . Play Juulsen until Burroughs is ready to come back.

Use that extra 3 mil this summer to get a Dman that wont actually hurt your team.

We already have a few Dermotts on the team that are cheaper.

These posters trade Miller , trade Bo are idiots . Smoking too much pot and hitting the bouncy castles too early in the morning

So I got the Hamonic part, and can agree with you on it. Though the Dermott deal still is OK IMO, and you still save 1.5 mil. As for the rest of the team, stand pat then? I would trade Boeser if you can now, and do a Garland deal if the return was good, like the Turcotte one discussed. As for Miller, love him and his grit, but they really need to find out if he is resigning because that is the team changing moment. The length and terms of the deal, if he resigns can hamstring this team for years if not done properly. or he could walk and that would be devastating. Alot of tough calls to make are coming soon, and some could be made in the next hour.

When 2 hockey people that I respect, Bieksa and Jennifer Botterill, say it is a good trade, I will take that opinion, over any Leaf or other teams fans.
I am still waiting to see him play, so I am still reserving judgement, as I know very little about Dermott, other than he was a decent player in Junior.
Plus, Hamonic is finally gone, another big Benning mistake.

Plus Seravelli said Hamonic was not well liked in the locker room, yesterday was a good first step

I am not going to get into the you saved 1.5 mil. but will repeat you had 3 mil in space earlier in the day. Now you don't . You have half of that and took on player that is a 6/7/8 Dman and gave up a third round pick. We already have those type of players in our system.

Fans can sugar coat it any way they want but the second move yesterday was Sven Baertschi all over again.
