Absolutely no excuses. Allvin should be canned immediately. Why didn’t they retain salary on Boeser and trade him for the best pick possible. Complete clown show of an organization

weather network did say 40% chance of sky falling. Cluck cluck hens, enjoy!

Remember how giddy the crew was, the year Hansen and Burrows got moved. Lol
- Reubenkincade

Ahh yes, when the rebuild started. Good job Benning.

I doubt they keep a soft, inconsistent team together. More moves this summer. I'm glad they didn't make any rash moves today.
- Marwood

Agree I didn’t think rash moves would happen. JR has a smart group assembled. It’s a process.

I am not entirely sure they like this team at all. They may be happy with the run under Bruce, but when you compare to the top dog teams in the league, it's hard to fully "like" this team when looking at the likes of Colorado, Calgary, Minnesota, etc.

I think allvin could definitely sell off more in the summer.

It takes more than the 3 months to fix this fucken mess. They will make the changes that they believe they need to do over the next year and a half, or so.

Karlsson coming to camp could be interesting.

And the crying over that trade was pretty phenomenal. I think I was the one of the only ones who liked it.

It's going to take years, for sure

For people complaining about mottes return. Vlad namestikov was playing 1st line in DET and just got traded to DAL for a 4th. The market had been set and the return for motte as UFA was fine if you ask me.

To sell you need to have willing buyers. You either sell your best assets and start over or you try to add . I think finding buyers will be harder . Half the league is over the cap and more added every year because of the flat cap , so you need to sell low.

I think the trade return on a player like Boeser is not that great TBH . I think he is close to a 5 mil player so anything above 6 is more bad contracts. I don't think teams are giving up top prospects for him.

If you trade JTM or Bo you are basically starting over , That is a huge hole at center in your top 6 not to mention the goals you lose and also the GWGs.

JR said 2 years. I see that as the turnover needed is mostly about expiring contracts & TDL’s & offseasons & drafting & cap management being all needed to be done.

The run has been nice, no doubt. But you can't look at this team, or this homestand, and say you think they have a chance against Calgary, Colorado, Carolina or any top contender. It's been a fantastic run, and they deserve credit, but let's not let this run overshadow how this team isn't a contender

I kept an open mind. Easier than jumping off a bridge in panic mode. I’ll leave the hysterics to those who thrive on it lol

Most posters on this board don't think Canucks have any prospects of value. He will be interesting to see.

shooting way above your capabilities and misjudging the market competition is something that this franchise had done for the last 8 years lol.

its sort of nice for a change that they aren't buyers and are not pretending to be something they aren't.

The whole philosophy of "you never know what happens in the playoffs" is such a garbage statement. The only reference is STL and LAK, the sample size is insanely low and both of those teams AT LEAST had size/grit, the Canucks are soft.

There are several of us on here, who have been fans since their 1st year in the league. I don't see any of us complaining.

The two players that were traded away, didn't change the team much. Maybe as individual talent goes but they sure as heck weren't making their line mates better or defensive partners.

I actually think you have some of the best insight on what is real.

FA doesn't give a rats ass about the 25 regular posters on here and he is making money hand over fist. As long as the money keeps rolling in he is a happy guy.

I don’t fully buy into this soft. 1st off is more speed is a priority. We have sufficient ability to score. Once the construction of the roster is fixed to that point then grit will be better added. If grit 1st it has to not be plugs & be legit top 9. The D is tough enough but still needs a top 3 D man.

Those aren’t even good examples. ST.L was the best team in the league from the new year on. LA, also dominated from the TDL on.
